For many years we have welcomed corrections from the Community for any errors spotted on the site. We'd now like to streamline the process because some corrections can be performed by Modmins, and all other corrections require a Developer.
Modmins are able to make corrections only in the following sections of the site:
• The ''AC Events'' that appear in the upper right side of the Home Page. • The ''My Catalog'' area which can be accessed from the left margin in the ''My ACC'' section. • The ''ACC FAQ'' which can be accessed from the left margin in the ''About ACC'' section. • The ''Help'' pages which can be accessed by clicking the ? in the upper right corner of any ACC page.
If you spot an error in any of these areas, please post on this thread and we will endeavour to get the information rectified as soon as possible. In addition, Modmins can make corrections to any non-archived thread, but for the purpose of this thread you should inform us of errors found only in official threads created by ACC Staff.
These are the types of information corrections you should inform us of in this thread:
• Incorrect spelling. • Use of incorrect punctuation or missing punctuation. • Incorrect grammar. • Misleading or confusing information. • Out of date information.
When informing us of an error, please try to be specific. Try and link us to the page if possible or tell us how to get to the page. For example, if the error is in the New Leaf furniture section of ''My Catalog'', a post such as the following will be helpful:
"My Catalog - New Leaf - Furniture - Spa Set - missing a washbasin"
All other corrections require Developers and therefore you should make a thread for the amendment on the Site Suggestions board. On that board there is usually a Staff Discussion & Work List. If it is available, please check that thread first to make sure that the error isn't already in queue to be fixed.
Thank you.

I noticed that ACC has both the Persian Rug and the Tent Rug listed in the catalog. After asking about the mysterious Persian Rug, which I haven't been able to find, I've been informed by another user that it's the same as the Tent Rug. I then looked up pictures of both, and it seems to be true! It's called a Tent Rug in my region (NA) and I'm not sure if it's called a Persian Rug elsewhere. It would be nice to get rid of one or the other and combine them so that people aren't wondering why they can't seem to find the other one! I was so confused when I saw it listed in the catalog here when its not mentioned in any of the other 3 highly reliable catalog sources I use.
Thanks!
Edit: Sorry, I should clarify that both rugs show up in the catalog for my NL game and I've checked someone else's NL catalog and it shows up for them as well!

We've deliberately left out a few items such as the dandelions, clover, fireworks and shells. This is because we can't remove an error but can edit it. So, where we've found a duplicate item in two separate categories we've been able to change one of the duplicates into a shell, plant or firework.
I will however go and add the Jacob's Ladder for you.
Once we are absolutely sure that the catalogue doesn't have any errors, (rather than omissions) we will add the final few items.

Hi! Hope I've found the right place Just a couple of things I noticed on the Town Ordinance Guide. In my town Dropside, I current have the Wealthy Town ordinance in effect. This sentence:
"20% more medals can be earned from doing island tours"
seems to be incorrect. While playing on the island, I have not noticed an increase in the amount of medals I have earned on tours since changing to this ordinance. The items do cost 20% more medals to purchase, though. Also, I think this sentence should be amended:
"a list that tells what items can be sold for a special price, will show two items instead of one."
I think it should be changed slightly due to the Streetpass effect on premuim. Villagers can sometimes talk about this, too. If you manage to Streetpass a lot of New Leaf players in one day (not sure of the exact number, but it may be 5?), additional items will appear on this list. The largest amount of items I have had on premium is four, but have read that the maximum number is six. Perhaps it's an additional item per five players Streetpassed, but again I'm not sure. Either way, I think it would be better to change the sentence to something like:
"A final effect of the ordinance is that Re-Tail's premium item list will have an additional item on Premium every day, so there are always two items on Premium at the very least!"
Perhaps something like "This doesn't effect extra items on premium which have been caused by Streetpassing other plays on that day" could come after it.

For the Harvest Festival, I had one character that did not have a wetsuit and Farnklin never asked her for any Deep Sea ingredients. All she had to do was go fishing for the ingredients for all the courses except of course the dessert course.

In the Halloween guide on the ACNL general board (great guide, btw!), four pieces of Patched clothing are mentioned: shirt, pants, hat and shoes. However, there's also a Patched dress. You have to wear a dress in order to get the Patched version and people may easily miss this because they'll be wearing shirts and pants to get the Patched versions of those. Not a big deal, I know, but hey, completionists will appreciate this!
I just played Halloween, and Pompom, the peppy duck, isn't scared of the Bug mask, but of the Werewolf hood. I used the table from ACC's Halloween guide, but when she wasn't scared I checked Thonky, which correctly pointed me to the Werewolf hood.
"» Can I use the same friend code from *INSERT GAME HERE* for every WiFi Game? No. Each game will have a unique code associated with it. The code is specific to the game and the DS/Wii where it's used. This means that if you use the same game with two different DSs/Wiis, each DS/Wii will generate a different friend code. This also means that using another DS to connect wirelessly will overwrite any previous friend code stored on the game disc."
Now that you can't wifi on the DS or Wii, the opposite is now true. Now users should only have 1 friend code for their entire console.
EDIT: Now that I look at it, the about half of the WiFi section of the FAQ needs to be updated to address the fact that you can no longer WiFi on the older systems and that you can WiFi on the 3DS. There should probably be a question along the lines of "Why can't I WiFi on AC:WW or AC:CF?"

Items
There might be some other Headwear-Accessory mix-ups but I'm only listing the items I've bought, worn, and dropped to confirm as accessories.
I've noticed in the Bottoms section of my catalog Patched Pants are listed. These are obtained through the Halloween event and are not a part of the catalog in game. This is however the only article from this event listed in the catalog meaning the Patched hat, Patched Shirt, Patched Dress, and Patched Shoes have been excluded though again none of them are included in the catalog within the game.

My Catalog - New Leaf - Animal Pictures - Spork's Pic alteration
Some of the items in the NL catalog have the PAL/EU equivalent of the item's name (where the item's name is different). I recently found out that the lazy pig Spork, is named Crackle in the PAL version, so Spork's Pic should probably have "/ Crackle's" added to it in between the two words.

I've noticed that in the FAQ page, under the about ACC section in the left margin, there's a word in an answer which is not needed in the context:
"» Why was my thread locked? Sometimes, the Moderators will decide that a thread should be locked. The In most cases, the staff member that locked your thread will post why the thread was locked, either as the last post in the thread or as a moderator edit in the very first post."
This is the 12th question, under the general FAQ section. I think that "The" should be removed there.

This page under the Q. When do the links expire? it says
"They expire when they are clicked on, or after five minutes after they appear. If they are not clicked on, they get added to the jackpot."
Little amendment, to clarify, it should say something like
"They expire when they are clicked on, or after five minutes after they appear. If they are not clicked on, some of the bells missed get added to the jackpot."
It's not 100% necessary right now, but it just helps with clarity I think.

The Markup Magic guide on Site Support hasn't been updated to reflect the markup changes where all tags now have to be closed. A lot of questions come up on how to do certain things with markup, and some of the codes on that guide appear confusing because of the broken tags. I think it would be helpful for that guide to be up to date again, and don't think it would take too long to fix.
All 4 of those items I noticed were in the wrong section of the catalog, which threw me for a loop when going through and updating my catalog.
Edit:
Also, while not necessarily wrong due to different ways of interpretation, items such as the "Li'l Bro's Tee" and "y. New Year's Hat"(as expressed in the game) can technically be considered out of order in the ACC catalog due to the way they're handled in the game: Li'l Bro's Tee appears after the Lightning Tee(and before the Lite Polka Tee) due to the game alphabetizing it as "Lil Bro's Tee" as opposed to "Li'l Bro's Tee". Similarly, the "Yellow New Year's Hat", as expressed on ACC, is labeled in-game as "y. New Year's hat", meaning that it should appear before the Yellow Cap. While these two items are both only a single place off, it never hurts to be as accurate as possible.

Here's a little secret that you may not hear often....
You are a beautiful person and you are loved! :)
-Halloween: Someone else posted this earlier, but you can get the Patched Dress from a Villager trick if you're wearing a dress.
-Harvest Festival: The Harvest furniture series is only for sale at Nooklings shop from November 1 through the date of the Harvest Festival (and not all of November).
-Harvest Festival: Another option to not get stung when bees appear after shaking a tree is to immediately "Save and Continue." The bees will be gone after the save completes, but the beehive will still be on the ground. I do this all the time, since I've already donated bees to the Museum and don't want to bother catching them, running into a building (which I've never been able to do successfully) or get stung.
The Red-Team Cap is currently listed under DLC. Although it was once given out at a Nintendo Zone, it is not DLC-exclusive, so it should be listed under Headgear & Accessories.
