In a new game they wouldnt keep all the selling prices the same. If they got rid of retail they would just make the prices better at nooks. And KingKyle it just sounds to me like you never played the older games and i agree with cobalt, you cant change that much or it wouldnt be animal crossing anymore. Theres no need to be rude
I just wanted more villagers. And I own ACGC,ACWW,ACCF,and ACNL.And AC is based on real life,so I'm trying to made Animal Crossing more like real life! Sorry if I'm rude..

That's the thing Kyle, people don't want to live their exact reality. The appeal of AC is that it feels like you're escaping to a quaint town.
ACguy1 I've been watching some ACGC gameplay and it just brings that nature sort of feeling it feels so relaxing. I don't want to be all "ACGC best AC ever and none have surpassed it" as i've loved all the AC titles I've played (ACWW, ACLGTTC and ACNL) but I always dismissed ACGC until a year ago but it really has some unique attributes of its own.

Im not saying i only like that one, it like different features from all the games but I just feel like if they made it more like the original game it would be better. They are starting to stray into to much of a modern kind of town
Yeah I understand that completely. I would like to see a new game more like the original but not completely get rid of the new ideas. If they just integrated the way to get to the city into the train i think it would be a lot nicer. i know you don't like the city but I think it was better than mainstreet and they can't just simply get rid of the new variety of shops there would be an uproar.

I'm sure a lot of my ideas may have already been named, but w/e.
Skin Tone: All of my characters are incredibly pale, nothing wrong with that, but I think it'd if I could choose my skin tone for a villager instead of waiting until summer to tan.
More Stores on Main Street: Keep a lot of them PWP, however, I think it'd be a great idea if you added more stores on there. A think a Music Store run by K.K. would be neat, he's still DJ K.K, however I think it'd be a nice reference if there was a little stool in front of his store that he sits at after the long night of playing music at Club LOL. You can chat with him, and we can learn a little bit about him. Move the Coffee shop up there as well, I love Brewster, he'll always be one of my favourite characters, but I'd prefer if his Cafe wasn't taking up space in my town. And any more interesting stores that could possibly pop up.
Bigger towns, more homes, and more villagers: Someone mentioned that special characters could have their own little section for homes, I think that's adorable. But a bigger town means more villagers, and I always enjoy having lots and lots of villagers for my town.
Choose where Villagers live: I'm so sorry, but I hate the randomness that the villagers move in. They can ruin my paths and flowers, it's just a pain. I think if I could set where they live, I'd have a few sections where they are, and the rest are things to see and play with. Also, changing the way the houses face would be nice.
Storage: I like to collect things, a little bit too much, maybe a specific area for storage would help people like more, or at the very least, they could give us more sections for us to store our stuff in the dressers and such.
Those are big things for me, but there are other things people mentioned that I like as well.

Guys we arent here to fight, all the ideas are great, and by the way this was just for fun, not for real. i highly doubt any of our ideas will get to nintendo anyway.
Faith, i love your ideas, I too would like more shops, it gets too boring sometimes to be honest.
Something random that I saw somewhere else (or maybe here I can't remember)
It would be SO adorable if one of your villagers asked you to take them to another town, much like Katie except for instead of a rare item, they would send you a letter like "Thanks for taking me to _____ town, I had so much fun seeing the sights! Let me know whenever you go visit another town" and with the letter they send a little gift. Or even maybe they decided to camp in your friend's town.
Also if your friend's town isn't full, they would say something like "I'm thinking of moving to ________ town" which you can approve or deny.

The only thing about NL that I really don't like is villager's random house placement (several people have mentioned this). Otherwise, there really isn't anything about the game I don't like.
I think it would be cool if they made the town much larger, my NL town feels really small to me, while my GC town feels larger. Maybe it's because of the multiple level aspect of the town (slopes and hills)?
I think it would also be cool to be able to ride little bicycles around your town if you wanted to. I think it would only be fun though if the towns were larger.
Also, pants are cool and all, but I miss the short, little tiny characters. This may just be me though. It wouldn't faze me much whether they changed this or not.
Really though, I wouldn't want an AC game that's similar to real life at all. That would take the fun out of Animal Crossing. If you want a game that's more real-life oriented, go play Sims or something. I mean, you're living in a town with Animals and paying off your house to a Raccoon.. how real do you really want things?
In the end, I really hope they aren't making a new game any time soon. I know there's been rumors and what not, but I think what's made past games really exciting is that they waited a few years between games and gave them enough time to create something new and innovative. I feel like each game had something new and fresh to offer, and if they rush into things too quickly, I'm afraid it's not going to be anything special. It's only been a year and a half since New Leaf, I feel like they should wait another year or two.
Also, I'm poor college student and could not afford a Wii U any time soon.

A lot of people don't like the random placement of villager homes. I'd be happy if we could choose their locations, or even if the old type of signposts made an appearance again. At least with those, you could always predict where the houses would pop up and build your paths around them.
I also want to be able to build a pathway... with something other than the current system. My idea is that it be part of the town hall projects or something. Like, choose the design you want to use (dirt path, paved, brick, etc.) and then lay out the pathway on a minimap. It would show you all the obstacles and buildings on the map and let you draw a path where you wanted/were able to. Then you could just change the design or rearrange the path easily without having to go pick up/drop squares individually. We should be able to drop items on top of patterns and roads, too. They could have default pathway patterns and also let you provide your own custom ones.
Yeah... I could write a small novel about all of my ideas for pathways.
It'll be 3 years since it was released in Japan come November. It's likely they're working on it, with the fact that they did say we'd have big AC news this year, I wouldn't be surprised if they gave us details sometime in the year. Japan will get it first, that's for sure, but I've noticed a trend in the gaps between games, the largest gap was between City Folk and New Leaf, which was 4 years, but New Leaf brought so much new content into the game, so it's understandable. But typically, we usually have gotten around 3 year intervals between games. They're definitely going to put a AC game on the Wii U in its life time, they would not pass up the chance to advertise the first real HD Animal Crossing Game.
I thought of a few more things, but it's bringing things back really. I'd love to see some old villagers come back, or villagers that we didn't even see outside of Japan. Meow and Bow are big ones, because I actually really like their designs.
I'd also love to see islanders come back, but more then one Islander please, in fact, I think it'd be cool if they were lodgers at the island, Tortimer could rent out cabins, and the Islanders could come and go as they please. Mainly, I'd like to see Faith come back, I remember having her on my island as a kid and being so excited because she had my name.
I really miss things like The Sports Festival and Morning Aerobics, to me, they made me feel more immersed in the world. If they'd add those, and maybe more small little events like so, I'd be really happy.
More campsites! Along with a bigger town, as I mentioned previously, I could totally set up a small little park for them to camp, they can also leave the tent too, that'd be neat. If they also gave us a smaller campfire to set up, I'd set it up in that little park for them, that'd be so cute.
Lock in villagers you want to keep, and kick out villagers you don't. I love so many of my villagers, it'd surely break my heart if Lopez had left me. My heart shattered when Croque left me, then Lily moved in and I couldn't stand her, she replaced my dear sweet Croque, I wanted her gone. Yet I waited for so long for Lily to move out, if I could of just saved Croque, I would never have this distaste for Lily I have now, and if I could of kicked her out, I wouldn't of had to deal with her.
Any more ideas that come to me, I'll be sure to share.

I like these ideas (well most of them). I'm a little skeptic of over 9 villagers per town. I'd like to see more new NPC's added. Along with bringing back the sending letters to friends in other towns feature like on ACCF.
To kingkyle : I'm happy you sent some of these ideas! Yet, unfortunately Nintendo, and a lot of other companies and such, do not take fan made ideas and turn them into products because of fear of copyright. But, I admire your compassion for the games!

Lots of people have said this but i wish you can choose where and who moves in.You can make areas the villagers can move in and then they move in one of those 10 areas you choose. In New Leaf having them move where they what even when you where the mayor was weird. If your a mayor, can a person move anywhere they what? NO,they can't.
