Luke kept on running until he found Addie shaking profusely clinging onto the rifle as her wide eyes were locked onto a dead wolf on the ground, he noticed her arm was bleeding though which scared him the most, "Addie!" he ran over to her and tried to comfort her.

Horst: (changes forms and looks for something in his kit to handle her wound)

"[Addie are you alright?]" Luke asked frantically looking between the wolf and her, "[Did it bite you?]"

Addie shook her head, "[N-n-n-no...]" she managed to stammer out as she gestured a sharp blood stained rock to her side.

"Okay then..." Luke reassured himself, "[Horst here will patch you up.]"

Horst: (unscrews a jar of something) [Hold still... This might sting, but it'll help you heal.]

Addie looked at the jar then back at Horst and scowled, "[Why are wolves so nasty!]" she exclaimed.

Horst: [This is a medicine to clean the wound, not something to hurt you...] (takes a small cloth and goes to dab it on the wound)

"[You still haven't answered my question! Why are those wolves so nasty!]"

Horst: [I have no connection to them. Might as well ask foxes why they act like they do.]

"[So they're different to you?]" Addie asked as she looked at the wolf, there was a clear shot wound on the closest side of the head as well as an exit wound on the other side, "[You'd never hurt me right Horst?]"

Horst: [Of course not! Would you really take me for one who'd enjoy infanticide?]

"[Hey!]" she exclaimed back,"[I'm not a little kid!]"

Horst: [You're not a legal adult yet, either.]

"[Well in this world who cares about legalities,]" she replies looking at Luke to back her up.

Luke nodded slightly, "She used a gun for goodness sake Horst, she deserves more credit than due. You think most girls would survive a wolf attack?"

Horst: No, but that wasn't meant as an insult, or to make any less of her. All I meant was she isn't an adult. Nothing else.

"You made it sound like one though..." Luke addressed the issue as he looked at an insulted Addie.

Horst: Be that as it may... I answered her question. I'd never harm her. (unrolls the now scraped-clean pelt)

"Fair enough." Luke smiled then showed Addie his happiness so she knew the situation had neutralised.

"[Is that pelt for me?]" Addie asked impulsively

Horst: [Yes, I got rid of the nasty stuff, so it should be OK.

"[Thank you]" she replied taking the pelt and rapping herself in it tightly

Horst: (smiles and rests back, the wind blowing through his fur)

(Sorry...)

"You know..." Luke began to say what he'd actually been thinking for a while, "Now that everything has happened as it has, what do you want to do next?""

Horst: Well, I go where my conscience wants me to. I'll keep on defending civilians...

"I don't know what to do apart from protect one girl, that's the only thing left for me to do at least.."

Horst: One better than none, I may admit.

"I don't know what I'd do if she wasn't around, don't want to even think about it..."
