I looked down to see the items on Rainbow Road. I saw that Toadette had overtaken me and I was second, when I looked up I gathered speed from being behind her and with that boost I came first in Rainbow Road and as a result I got three stars in the Lightning cup. So there's a benefit.

I've finally beaten every staff ghost data and unlocked the Gold Wheels!
I've three starred every cup and unlocked the Gold Kart, too.
Onto online, I just need 10,000 coins now...

I think it's 2,800 coins, but I'm not sure. Except the Gold Glider is 10,000

I checked and the only piece I have left is Cyber Slick, besides the Golden Glider. i read it was 2800 but it sounded such a strange number It was 5,000 in Mario Kart 7

That is weird. Maybe there isn't that many parts in Mario Kart 8. That's why Nintendo released the Mercedes Benz DLC.

So is Donkey Kong.You gotta feel bad for the drivers on Toad's Turnpike... There's no escape. They'll forever be stuck in that loop. Oh and why didn't they bring back Figure 8 from Mario Kart DS? It'd only make sense, IMO. The image was a pain to get in. It featured a word that isn't allowe (some reddit group or something idk) so when I shortened it with a website it turns out that website is filtered... I just realised that Wario Stadium for Mario Kart 64 is the last cup from MK64 to be remade into a track. Do you think they'll remake the Mario Kart 64 stages again or move on?

I hope they do. I feel as if Mario Kart 8's retro tracks were original but felt new. Even taking away the anti-gravity. Retro stages in other games just felt like ports.

Turns out were are getting DLC charactersIt's more like Nintendo All Stars Racing"Each Add On Content pack will contain two new cups, each with four courses, which, in total, increases the number of available courses by 50 percent. The Add On Content packs include classics like Wario’s Gold Mine from Mario Kart Wii, as well as new courses, some taking place in the worlds of The Legend of Zelda and Animal Crossing. New vehicles will also arrive with each pack, including the Blue Falcon kart representing the F-Zero franchise in the first AOC pack.
Mario Kart 8 Pack 1 - Released: November 2014
Pack 1 includes:
3 Characters: Tanooki Mario, Cat Peach, Link
4 Vehicles
8 Courses
Mario Kart 8 Pack 2 - Released: May 2015
Pack 2 includes:
3 Characters: Villager, Isabelle, Dry Bowser
4 Vehicles
8 Courses

Don't count on it, Mario Kart has never "double-up" on Retro courses. Maple Treeway was already Retro in 7.
