I actually hunt for threads like these in hopes that I'll see some usernames that ring a bell. I can remember names but hardly remember how I associated with them.

I think this is it. Have to say I deeply miss "the good ol' days" on ACC, but I think those are rather subjective. The good old days for me were good simply because I loved the game and this website. I don't think I could put a certain time frame on that. Life just got busy and I guess I outgrew the game, as sad as it is to say.

Anywho, you'll probably hear from me again about a year from now. I think I come back just to reminisce these days more than anything.

This isn't really an ACC problem, moreso a problem with people leaving the site and me being kind of a drifter here at this point.

I miss being PTs with jolly good friends and jolly good...Other people. Just chattin', talkin', chewing the fat, other things that mean the same thing that I can't think of at the moment.

Now, I'm just a lazy pleb, really have nothing better to do, that's pretty much why I'm still on this site. But some good friends have vanished, some of which I painfully wish to know if they are okay and whatnot, but eh, life goes on, I guess?

I'm sure I'll still be rolling around in this place until it up and croaks. Unless, of course, someone up there in the staff decides that pulling more obnoxious April Fool's shenanigans like they did earlier this year, then I'll be right out the door, a piece of straw in the mouth, bindle over my shoulder, and cap on my head!

I remember when I joined in 2010, there were usually around 7-8 pages of threads on the Off Topic board. ACC used to be so active, and I miss that about it so much.

But I wouldn't say 2010 is saying that much of what the website used to be like. When I clicked on what Bogmire linked, DANG! There were 38 pages on the Off Topic board!? That's CRAZY!

I also miss the people on ACC. A lot of good friends I made over the years of being on this website either left or are getting less and less active. :(

What I absolutely miss the most about ACC is how popular it used to be! There were people posting on the threads I had flagged every two seconds, and I could hardly keep up. Take when ACNL was released, for example. EVERYONE was on the website! It was so active and there were new members and new threads all over the place!

I guess we're just gonna have to wait for a new Animal Crossing game to come out.

Having more than three people online at the same time. Even when Animal Crossing New Leaf came out the boards still didn't have that many posts compared to what it used to be.

Do you guys remember the InFeCtEd April Fools prank? When BowserBasher changed his username and everyone was freaking out thinking the website was hacked?

The website actually was hacked later in the day on 1 April 2011, which caused considerable confusion on all sides.

Wasn't it it 2012 when the hack happened? I remember playing Dungeon Defenders around the same time, and that came out on Xbox 360 in October of 2011.

I miss just having conversations with random people. Making friends was so easy and very fun. I remember staying up late and having tons of fun just being on here, now I rarely ever get on. I wish it was still more lively, I'd definitely get on a lot more if there were more activity.

Oh an, I sure remember the ACC Apocalypse.

I used to come here to play online with other ACC users on Animal Crossing.
Loved getting hacked items and unlimited 99,999 bags. It was nice

I also miss my private threads being constantly spammed with posts from BTs and such...

I just noticed that there's only one page of threads on the off topic board now. That must be new, seeing as how the page is completely filled up (one new thread would bump it up to two pages). I imagine that this is the first time that this has happened in several years...

I miss all the threads striking fear into the hearts of the population, as the Crusaders conquered Animal Crossing one game card at a time.  Seeds would be planted into worlds, bring forth chaos and problems.  Bricks would decimate the game card population.  I remember, as a younger boy, trying to make friends on here. "Are You going to seed or brick me? Are you a Crusader?" another ACC'er asked, for there was much suspicion running amock.  Later on in the following weeks, there would be a list that "the Crusaders" constructed, intending to infiltrate and ruin the game cards of people who stood up to their reign of tyranny or mocked them.

In honesty, you know what I miss?  Before the dark times.  Before the Sith.. Before the Empire..

What I miss the most is all the people I made such a close connection to, the ones I spent countless nights just talking to. A lot of them weren't even here for WiFi on AC, they were here to just make friends. Looking at my buddy list now, many of them haven't logged on since late 2013, and haven't left any email or outside contact. So now we're just all strangers, living our lives elsewhere, and losing the connection we had.

I like going onto the Wayback Machine and reading old fanfictions that were written on here. Lol

i miss back when everything had a sense of liveliness to it. even when i was staffed just two years ago this website was bustling with activity and being a researcher was awesome because i got to gauge community activity and see how this website would move forward. then during my hiatus everyone seemed to just drop off the planet (as i did ). i miss the active bell shop discussions and fresh ideas from the community on the ss boards. i miss when the forum games board was filled with pages of werewolves and silly, unique games that wouldn't work well on social media like they do in a forum. but i guess most of all i miss the sense of "community" that acc had instead of the dichotomous groups that have popped up as of late.

I don't think I have any friends on ACC anymore, I left for a few months and came back to locked BT's and found only one that wasn't active.

I miss needing this site to live, hahaha.

I mainly miss 2008-2010 where BTs were everywhere, the giveaway and fanfiction communities were HUGE and always busy, people were more passionate about the site, the activity was relatively high, and there was always something to do or something to look forward to - I really miss it tbh.

Yeahh, the amount it was active is definitely something I miss. I remember I used to have pages of flagged threads, and they'd always be filled with new posts. Now, that seems to be a whole different story...

The fanfictions board, something I always used to go on, was always filled with pages of stories, and now it's just one page.
