This happened two days in a row in my math class. She never gives us any time in class to work on them, either.

-There's this one really annoying kid in my classes who ALWAYS asks me for everything. He asks me for paper every math class, takes my eraser during math tests and doesn't give it back, and today, during the test, he asked me loudly for my pencil sharpener.
-Then there's another kid in all my classes who complains about everything. If he gets a 96 on a test, he's like "Oh my gosh, I almost failed, I did so bad!" and it is SO annoying.
-My science teacher docked me marks on my test because she doesn't think phosphorous has 15 protons.
-Slow walking people in the hallways, especially when they're in groups and take up the whole hallway so you can't pass them.
-My history teacher put a question on a test that we didn't learn, but I put the answer on anyway because I knew it. Then she told us to cross the question out, so I erased my answer. Then when we got our tests back, she said anyone who put the right answer for that question got a bonus mark.
-The dumb projects we get. The $100 scrapbooks were all right, and the talk shows weren't too bad, the powwows were pretty annoying, but now we have to do a rap. In three days. NO. NONONONONO.
-People eating lunch on the stairs. It's really annoying to have to go around them, and it's so easy to trip over them when they take up the entire staircase.
-Those kids who think they're 'cool' and do things that make them look weird but they think it's cool. It's also really annoying when they do/say the same thing every five seconds. And when people use slang words, but that's partially because I don't know what any of it means.
-People who talk loudly while we're watching a video or taking a note or doing work. And in my religion class, the two people on either side of me and the person in front of me constantly talk with each other, and it's really distracting.
-When people pronounce my name wrong. It's not even hard to pronounce, but everyone always adds a random 'r' into my last name, and I don't know why.
-Hypocritical teachers. My science teacher had a drawer in a cabinet labelled Steel Screens, but on my lab report, she circled it and said it's always wire screen or gauze or something.

Almost all of the kids at my school are over-achievers, and half of them will not be satisfied with marks under a 95. It annoys me to no end. I feel you, kids who talk loudly in class are aggravating. Especially when the teacher is talking about an important topic, or something that is going to be on a test. You had to create a rap for a school assignment? That's quite interesting.

Well, we're going to do a rap. We're getting the assignment on the 9th and it's due on the 12th. And it has to be in a video. I can't rap to save my life, so I'm not looking forward to it at all. I just really hope my group actually contributes instead of leaving everything to me.

Well, at least its not a boring assignment. Group projects can be difficult, especially when others don't contribute their share. If it makes you feel any better, I had to illustrate 25 cards featuring violent stick figures for an English project. So I completely understand lame projects. Hang in there!

My bio teacher. The average for the first test was 55%, the highest score was like, 92%. The test also had 60 points in it and 9 of them were given to us in the instructions (like they were matching and in the instructions it was like "Label them in this order: a, g, f, h..."). Like, I don't understand how my bio teacher hasn't been fired yet, rumor is that there is no-one to replace her. But that's none of my business.. *Sips tea*

I also EXTREMELY hate group projects. We had to make a song/poem about egypt. After a hard time and 5 days, 2 days over the due date, I scraped everything my team came up with and did it in an hour and a half at home (we had 3 work days in class to do it) and actually had fun doing it. We had to do a facebook page project as well on a greek philosopher (like an actual facebook page). And literally my group of two guys named Matt spent 30 minutes signing up for facebook, entering stupid names.

I know we are supposed to have to deal with difficult people in life but... come on. I have only 3 friends in that class and they usually just all work together without me and I get stuck with the stupid group... Please don't make me get a bad grade because my group didn't do their part/do it well.

I don't care for group projects either. I usually get stuck with people that don't do the work, or would rather spend time in class talking to friends. Or the worst is when they say they'll do a part of the project at home, then the next day they say "Oh... sorry. I didnt do it" ON THE DAY IT WAS DUE! So it leaves me scrambling to make it work so I dont fail because of irresponsible group members. Maybe its just me, but I would never let a group down like that. If youre counting on me to do something, you bet it'll be done by the time you need it. There was one time I was with a girl doing a project for history and we were describing terms in a document online. She wasnt doing anything in class, so I kept asking her to work. She "worked" for the last 5 minutes of class and it was due the next day. I go on the document that night and her writing looked really weird and not the language I'd expect from her. The font was weird too. Turns out... she copied and pasted DIRECTLY from Wikipedia. She didnt even try to reword it. Needless to say, I was absolutely furious. I talked to the teacher the next day and explained the situation. Since we each "did" half the project, he said he'd take my indivivual score and double it. He'd do the same for her. I got 100% Lets just say my partner was not happy about that. Hey, if youre not going to do your work its your own fault.

I am in college now, but when I was a sophomore in high school, we had to start doing reading and math in every class. (Even ART.) We did that because the incoming freshen had low reading & math skills, and when they were asked to point out California on a map, most of them had no clue. It's a wonder why our education is so bad.

Well last Friday my friend wasn't paying attention and the teacher asked

"where does a graph start" and kept saying "come on answer" "why don't you just pick 11 or 14 or 17"

My friend said "I didn't hear the question sorry but I'll guess 11?"

And ofc the answer is 0 and everyone burst out laughing at him aswell as the teacher :c and the guy next to my friend on the other side was laughing really hard and the teacher asked him what the next point on the graph was (you just had to read off the question) and he didn't know even though he laughed so hard at my friend, so I said

"<name>  don't laugh at someone who gets the answer wrong who wasn't paying attention when you can't even get it right yourself" and I got sent out the class for mocking someone

Double standards much?! Teachers annoy me so much smh

In reading class we have to read 20 minutes each night and write a report as my teacher calls them "journals," and last week she told us whoever didn't owe any didn't have to do them that week. So I didn't do any and on Monday she said they were due

COME ON, if you're gonna make noise, give a good reason for it! It's so disappointing to turn around and see there isn't a fight or something about to go down

Getting schooled The hallways. I literally have to walk into people to get to a class. Nobody ever bothers to walk faster, which really irks me. I disapprove of this speed. It's way too slow.

One teacher would always refer to us as "The girl/boy with *whatever we're wearing*/sitting in a particular seat/next to whoever last particpated in the class discussion"
Another tells bad jokes.

They think they're helping us learn to work with people but it literally only contributes to me dreading working with...you know. people.

When teachers say you can't go to the toilet because too many people have been? Oh I'm sorry I didn't realise my bladder was connected to everyone else's bladder and when they went to the toilet my urge DISAPPEARED~!!

But also when they say who wants to answer this question and you don't put your hand up and they still ask you and act surprised when you don't know the answer and they say "oh that's a shame"

Okay school doesn't irritate me that much but you get my point.

And how come we are expected to learn all the subjects but only one teacher teaches each subject

My science teacher doesn't teach at all, she just turns on a slide presentation and makes us copy down notes. And when someone asked her why visible light is the only kind of light we can see (or something like that) she answered, "Because it's visible light." Well that explains a lot.

Oh, and this is how she describes the EM spectrum: "First, you have the big waves, and then you have the medium-sized waves, and then you have the tiny waves!" That's all she said on it. She didn't even talk about the different kinds of waves BUT THEY ENDED UP BEING ON OUR QUIZ ANYWAY SO NO ONE GOT IT RIGHT.

Plus she spends a lot of class time in the supply room with another science teacher. They never go in or come out with anything. They always close the door, too.

And when I asked her why she marked a question on my test wrong (because I KNOW I was right) she just said she had no clue why she marked it like that.

My school makes me feel like this every day. But the chairs are attached to the desks so they can't be thrown. Oh, that's another thing I hate about my school.

During the first semester in social studies we had a debate essay to do. Since it was our first time doing it in that class, the teacher had us write the first few sentences from the board. Almost everybody wrote the exact words he wrote on the board and didn't get above a C. Why? Because we "didn't quote it correctly." He underlined where it was wrong, and it was part of what he wrote.I got a C- on it and my friend did the exact same thing "wrong" on her paper and got a D. There was one student who didn't follow directions and got an A-.

School lunches. One time I skipped eating lunch because some of the meat in the containers they scoop were yellow and green.Most kids were not even paying attention so they got their lunches anyway. Also one time I found tinfoil in my lunch. Tinfoil.

My friend found a feather in what was supposedly beef. We also have chicken that tastes like nail polish remover. Its inedible.

Speaking of bad teachers, my math teacher is a work of art. He basically said "to find y.... you need to solve for y". Thanks! That really helps me solve this problem.
