Will I be able to do Le Wow with  level 64, 70 and 78 pokemon as my main team? I have three weaker ones in front which I'm levelling which will all be switched out at the start of battle. But if it's going to be too hard with those main three I might give Le Wow a miss for now or maybe switch in other pokemon, although really the only ones i want to level right now are these 6. I just did Le Yeah no problem but I don't want to do it all over again...and I'm greedy for pokecash

Here is what I do. I have EXP share on, I put a random high level pokemon (usually greninja,) on the 1st slot (left side), another high level pokemon, but one that can hit all three of them (Sylveon with Dazzling gleam) in the 2nd slot (middle) and some low level pokemon WITH PROTECT in the 3rd slot. My priority is to K.O. the opponents pokemon in the middle and the one facing the low level pokemon

If you are looking for the most efficient way to level up at Le Wow, do Rotation Battles, and have high level lead that has great type coverage (I use Swampert, and its fully invested in Attack and HP, so nothing is really going to stop it in the regular game), and put the other Pokemon you want to level up in the second and third slots, so they are in battle, but not in any danger. Have a back up, though, because if you don't take out that Wobbuffet, it can mess up your day entirely.

I'm sure at this point, everyone has at least one level 100 Pokemon, right? But yeah, since the other two are in battle, but not in any danger, they get the full experience from the battle without any risk. Lucky Eggs, Prize Money Power 2, and Exp Power 2 works wonders here as well, if you want to maximize your gain on everything.

@[/i]Jig, those levels are fine. You don't need to switch anyone out, just leave the EXP Share on and everyone will get the EXP. If you're only concerned about the EXP and not the money, then use EXP Power Level 3 before you go in. Or if you do wanna send the weaker ones out in battle first, give one of them a Lucky Egg at least. I prefer Triple to Rotation though, I've never liked Rotation to be honest.

I prefer Triple, because I can hit all three of them at the same time and it goes faster. Well that's me because I do not put much thought into the amount of money I get from Le Wow, just how fast I can get out of there and do it again! I do attach an amulet coin to my greninja though just to get some money!

Added: I do prefer triple myself I find it more fun, and the one time I tried a rotation battle I didn't have a high enough level pokemon at the front so if I ever want to do it again, Ivo's tips will be just perfect. Being efficient is rarely my priority in anything, let alone pokemon, however...with this contest upcoming I may be forced into a position of having to be!

So is anyone else doing the contest? My question kind of got lost in all the other shenanigans last night...sheepishly I have to admit I'm really quite excited about  taking part.

I was thinking of Abomasnow for an insta-hail but Abomasnow has so many weaknesses that it's not even funny.

Now that I think about it, Ice type is probably the type I'm least familiar with.

You could try Walrein but really, the ones you've listed and Abomasnow and Walrein are the only Ice types I can think of.

There's not really a specific date for it, it'd just be nice if everyone could have their teams done asap.

& I love Cryogonal & Dewgong but I'm not sure how well they fare in battle.

edit: Abomasnow, Cloyster, Mamoswine and weavile are imo the 4 strongest ice type pokemon

Mamoswine seems like it should be a staple on an Ice monotype team. Its an excellent Pokemon on its own, and should have no problem on a mono Ice team.

Abomasnow has a lot of weaknesses, but underestimating Abomasnow is the first mistake. Not to mention, with Mega Abomasnow with its solid stat increases, it can be a terrifying thing, despite the speed loss. Both work as great mixed attackers, and of course, Blizzard has 100% accuracy in hail.

Cloyster is another Pokemon that seems like a staple Ice type. Shell Smash, Skill Link, its got everything at its disposal it needs.

Urgh... I do not know what to do ;~;... Do I stay in or drop out? I really want to be part of this, but I really want to use the meloetta. I had traind my meloetta (along with a Purugly, Porygon-Z and Ambipom) all night yesterday in hopes of non-uber legends being unbanned in the tournament. Did Aaron say anything about UU Legends and below? I know Meloetta and it's other form is classified as UU last generation and I doubt that it has changed this generation!

Basically everyone has said OU legends are fine except for Aaron who for unspecified reasons has some sort of personal issue with them. So as Laura says Aaron has been in it for a long time (even though everyone wants OU legends) raffy has had to drop out because he can't use heatran (standard OU poke). So presumably they're not allowed. dunno why.

If any legends were considered OP for OU by smogon they would have been put in uber, and all of the standard ones remain in OU because they're not that great/ok.

Meloetta is even UU!! Banning meloetta is just ridiculous tbh, it's not particularly amazing but it's a cool pokemon to be able to battle with .

If it means anything i'm fine with people using legends against me (bug)

But my team really does revolve around meloetta and supporting her. I'm not sure how I will be able to get the same synergy with some other normal type. If I could, I would use Mega-Kangaskhan but he's also banned. A replacement for my Purugly is a Heliolisk.

^ I agree. There is reasoning behind why the "tiers" have certain pokemon in them. A pokemon's legendary status has NOTHING to do with it. As much as I do not like smogon's ways. I really do have to agree with the way that they have placed the pokemon in each of the tiers.

Dude no-one is highlighting your remarks, you haven't made your reasoning clear as everyone including Laura has tried to point out to you that OU legendaries are just normal pokemon with "legendary" status because they can't breed. With the fact that OU legendaries are just regular pokemon with a "legendary" tag associated with them, what is your reasoning??

You've already made raffy drop out because of this, and he's one of the best battlers here, so I suggested seeing as you have an issue with legendaries that they are all banned when fighting you but not banned for everyone else as no-one else seems to have any issue with them, so I don't understand what's your problem with this?

Please tell us your reasoning as seeing as everyone has said many times they are just regular pokemon that can't breed, I really can't see any other reason except that you just don't like them/think they are strong pokemon which is a personal reason

Why can't we just allow OU legends except for when battling Aaron as no one else has a problem with them?? That way raffy won't have to drop out just because of this
