I heard that the MLP chinese new year toys will be in stores at the chinese new year day to celebrate to year of the horse and clearly MLP is invading china on that day.

I'm starting to like the japanese intro and song of the show. It's kind of catchy to me, but it sounded cool though

Usually the best chances to go would be go shopping with your parents and ask if they can take you to build-a-bear workshop if that works. begging would be optional to do, but if you wanna go in apple bloom's desperate mode, you could try that.

Probably most fans and community will make or commission coco pommel plushie next. I hope she's that cute as a plushie and then the next one is that fans will cosplay as Coco Pommel. That's just one weird side though because I don't even know what coco pommel will be like in her human (or equestria girls) form.

SnowDance - If you need any suggestions or recommendations for your build-a-bear pinkie pie plush, well I've seen most pinkie pie fans buy her royal wedding dress and shoes, but for extra lolz, Just add her 7-in-1 sayings as my suggestion. If any questions around the store, Just ask the staff that's how I got my fluttershy plush from that store, but not easy for me as a 1st time around the store. The only thing that you need to be or make sure is making your plush stay standing up and confirming what you need to buy for your pinkie pie plush. The Picture of my build-a-bear fluttershy plush that I shown here should give you an example and of course you can't see fluttershy's 6-in-1 sayings sound attachment(s) so I placed it in her left front hoof.

Rainbow Falls seems like Suited for Success, but with Rainbow Dash instead of Rarity.

Snowflake (I'm not going to call him something else because it is difficult to remember too many names) shouldn't be weak since he was at the Wonderbolt Academy with Rainbow Dash.

Spitfire seemed like a jerk.  Fleetfoot was also a jerk, but it seemed out of character for rainbow dash.


For some reason, it felt like Rainbow Dash learned this lesson before.  As soon as I saw Soarin Crash, I knew the plot.

I'm not gonna spoilertext as I feel adequate time has passed to have seen Rainbow Falls.

Rainbow Dash always falls a little below the characterisation belt for me because it always seems as if she's learning the same lessons. She's the epitome of the athlete who learns winning isn't always necessarily winning and like Julie posted, the play-by-play of the episode became pretty clear once Soarin damaged his wing. Prior to that, I felt like this episode was going to be about not qualifying to be in the Equestria Games and learning how to lose gracefully, but obvi that would mess with the serialisation about the games this season has been all about. Although...they could have pulled a Monsters University and had it so a team cheated or something allowing the Ponyville Flyers to take their place and compete in the end.

I also agree with Julie that the Wonderbolts (sans Soarin) felt very OOC here and unnecessarily mean, and that the use of Bulk Biceps as a suddenly hampered by his strength pegasus while comical was too convenient and retroactively distracting. And I know, I know, kid's show, but seriously, if the Ponyville team had an understudy (and omg, best cameo ever), why didn't the Wonderbolts? It could have been easily addressed and lampshaded too, like they did (what if it was Lightning Dust?!), but they lied so Rainbow Dash would have a better impetus for joining their team. Maybe competitiveness brings out the worst in the Wonderbolts, who knows? I just felt like I would've liked this episode more if that had been explained or whatevs.

All that said, I did enjoy this episode (Rarity's outfits were a bit though...).

Also another thing.

I'm aware that certain sports allow for professional athletes to compete for their country, like Hockey, but this is a relay race and this wasn't always the case.

Why are professional athletes competing in an amateur competition?  I'm assuming the Equestrian Games are modeled after the olympics.  I would have figured that the wonderbolts wouldn't be allowed to compete because they are given certain advantages to their sport.  True, all a Pegasus needs to fly is sky, but the wonderbolts have staff and equipment that other towns and cities don't have.

I'm kinda glad to see other griffins in MLP and to know what they look like (one of the teams that qualified was a griffin team).

But yea, we have two keys and the box will have a harmony based power that will manefest into the Rainbow Power Ponies.

Or at least, I assume.  It isn't the first spoiler the toys gave us.

I also assumed the EG are modelled after the Olympics, and there was a clear split in professionalism between theirs and other teams. If they were say, Wonderbolt endorsed/sponsored but simply Cloudsdale pegasi it would have been more thematically fair.

Or if they at least weren't going as the wonderbolts officially.  Professional Athletes have played in olympic games, but they don't play as their normal professional team.

The real difference between Professional and Amateur is a paycheck.

With individuals it is a different story.  For sports where there isn't a market for professionalism, then there aren't really any professional athletes.  For sports where there are professional athletes, but they play as individuals or pairs, then it is fine for them to play as individuals or pairs for their country.  But team sports don't usually play together for their country in an Olympic setting.  Usually, individual players from different teams, sometimes different leagues (i.e. European Hockey teams pick players in their country's' league as well as the NHL)  are picked to play on the team.  There may be players on the same team normally playing together on their country's team, but it would be coincidental.

There is a big problem with the idea that the wonderbolts would fake Soarin's injury so that they could switch him out for Rainbow Dash.

The Wonderbolts have more than just Spitfire, Soarin, and Fleetfoot.  There are at least 2 other wonderbolts (the white one fans call Surprise, and another one that I can't remember the name of).  However, if only some of the wonderbolts are present, then it is those three.  Before this episode, Fleetfoot has had no lines.  However, if these three are the ones that show up when just three are needed, then they are probably the best wonderbolts.  Some people will say that Rainbow is better than the wonderbolts, likely citing Sonic Rainboom.  This may be true, but we never find out how Wonderbolt Academy ends (the place, not the episode).  We know that Rainbow is not a wonderbolt or in whatever minor league the wonderbolts may have.  If Rainbow is a better flyer than Soarin, why isn't she a wonderbolt already?  Don't say it is because she quit her dream, because she took it back after Lightning Dust was kicked out.

The reason they wanted Rainbow Dash is because they wanted other teams to not cry foul at having a team of professional athletes compete together in an amateur competition.

We don't know that for sure, but it is on the table.

Anyway, this is probably the biggest reason I have a problem with Rainbow Dash; they never clearly define what the Wonderbolts are, just that they're awesome, so in effect, Rainbow's desire to be them or with them or whatever is just as ambiguous

Are they stunt pilots? Athletes? Pony RAFs? They just seem to show up whenever the story decides it can best accommodate them.

Reviewing and looking at from the episode, Derpy makes a return. Finally for all the derpy fans that gets to see derpy on this season for the first time. As for the location, doesn't the location remind you guys of winsome falls? As for the weird part, This is probably the first time that snow flake / Bulk Biceps gets to talk other than going rage and says "YEAH!". As for Cheerleading, maybe the cheerleaders would've worn rainbow dash's wig just like the rainbow dash fan club from Mysterious Mare do well episode.

I'm starting to think on this season that Derpy is making us play "Where's Derpy?" and becoming a little more similiar to finding derpy in a MLP app.

I finally got my t-shirt from my older brother! It's got neon dash on it! (rainbow dash + neon cat = neon dash) And I'm so happy it finally came. I'm seriously going to wear this shirt every chance I get!

Sadly, no-one I know likes ponies. I mean, there are few that are fine with it, tolerate it. But most of my friends down right hate it.

Oh speaking of build-a-bear workshop, There's a possibility that you can get a discount when you're buying a pony plush, but they have a point system there so I'm not sure how that works.

As for Pony Merch and MLP related, I saw a commericial of the rainbow power while I was watching TV. I may be hoping to buy one of those to expand the collection.

Maybe we should've talked more MLP related such as the fan based, pony merch, and answering questions from other fans while We Wait for new episodes to come and to be on the air.

I went to Walmart today and got two $10 plushes. I got Fluttershy and DJ-Pon3 and I'm hugging them right now. I got Fluttershy because they didn't have Rainbow Dash (my second favorite pony) and I'm going to get a Pinkie Pie (my favorite pony) build-a-bear plush, and because she is my 3rd favorite pony. And DJ-Pon3 because she is my second favorite backround pony.

I was really upset because my Walmart doesn't sell blind bag ponies and then I was VERY upset because they didn't have any trading cards! They usually do, but they were all out!

It's like my Walmart doesn't care about MLP:FiM. Which, they probably don't, because my town doesn't really have any bronies.

Time to get a new store to buy ponies. I'll look at the other Walmarts in my area, hopefully one of them cares.

Speaking of which, this was my first real pony-merch trip so I put on my new nyan dash t-shirt. Everyone looked at me strangely but that's mostly because we live in a town with a retirement community so there's ALOT of old people there. So yeah, first walk of, "Yup, I'm 20% cooler then you." all around Walmart. Actually, I walked around the building about two times because I didn't know where my mom was.

I saw some Rainbow Power merch and I just waved it away. I was more focused on blind bags... and keeping my thoughts and reactions to myself when I saw everything.

It's not that easy to avoid people and make them think what you are which was related to question from the fan and that question was "How do you go and buy Pony Merch in the store without everyone looking at you?". Apparently telling people that you are a brony or pegasister takes courage, but whether you admit or confess (or whatever action you're gonna do) that you are one, maybe people around you will know or understand that you are a brony or pegasister without hurting your feelings also you'll never know if the people around you are bronies or pegasister like you are. for me, I just didn't talk at all with the exception in telling the build-a-bear workshop staff that I was a fan and asking questions and help there.

I hug my jumbo (or large) sized fluttershy every time i sleep with her including the build-a-bear fluttershy plush, but they (or she) put me to sleep very easily, but I can almost hear sing her lullaby to me on my mind which it got stuck easily.

I'm pretty sure that walmart was selling blindbag ponies if you didn't check at the MLP section and if i'm right about it. in case if you need to know what blindbags you wanna get, just grab a 1-2 blindbag ponies at a random or if you need a guide, just check here. The Recent Wave that was released was 9 which was the rainbow power toyline.

As far as pony plush goes... I've not been terribly interested for two reasons. Primarily because my favorite pony, Octavia has yet to have a plushie that appeals to me (spaghetti hair ahoy!), but also secondarily because I still sleep with a big old wolf plushie the size of my torso and that wouldn't leave much room in my bed, nor would there be any place else appropriate for it in my room. >Besides, wouldn't want to make Tsuki jealous, would I?<

My local target just restocked on the Rainbow Dash/Rarity and Twilight/Applejack starter sets. Immediately after I purchased mine. Go figure. Well, not immediately, to be fair. I did have time to learn the game before they came back. They ran out of the collectable cards some time ago, though, but dog tags still abound!

My town has a few of us. Not enough for our local comic book store to carry the trading cards, but enough for them to carry the collectable cards and the comics.

I wear my pony shirts in public when they're clean and I have something that matches. It's nothing noteworthy anymore for me. A god day for you, though.

I've been avoiding Rainbow Power for now because I try to avoid spoilers, but they look... Interesting. I don't dislike it, I can say that much.

I don't think that's easy enough. Looking at from what I know, it's not gonna be easy to find a bronies, pegasisters, and fans that likes the show. Whenever I go shopping, There's not much fans around in the MLP toy section, but I've just seen children who buy the pony merch.

My Advice are take notice of people's pressence around in the MLP toy section and talk to people, ask, and see if they watch the actual show. you can try to go to brony and pegasister meetups like bronycons and other meetup places, but that's up to you if you want to go to those type of meetups, and You can try to take notice of their pony merch and then you'll know that they're a bronies or pegasister and ask if they watched the actual show. It can work, but It always works for me by interest.

I know it's not that easy to find bronies, pegasister, and fans that are on our age (or age range), but it'll take a while and some courage to talk and ask people if they watched the show.

Usually build-a-bear workshop may be an exception because There might be a few staff members there that likes the show and have other pony merch like the MLP key strap as I Remember back on december 26th 2013.

Honestly it was easy for me to find other bronies, considering they were long time friends.
