I am pretty much in the same situation as 707.. not really going to bother, based off whats its coming down too. Has disney infinity or skylanders figures ever faced these kinds of problems?

I'd say only their retailer exclusive limited run variants ever sell out completely. Plenty of the regular ones though.

And if you didn't know already, the Lucario amiibo is exclusive to ToysRUs, Metaknight is exclusive to Best Buy, and Shulk is exclusive to Gamestop.

US Best Buy has a B2G1 on amiibo this week. Works on upcoming wave preorders too.

Seriously? It's hard to say they're "discontinuing" something they hardly even sold to begin with. No stores had them around here, and all I could find online were extremely inflated prices.

Kotaku doesn't provide a happy outlook on the Amiibo situation.

"While Nintendo would not comment directly on the discontinuation of the figures, they did offer Kotaku the following statement:

.....'We will aim for certain amiibo to always be available. These will be for our most popular characters like Mario and Link. Due to shelf
.....space constraints, other figures likely will not return to the market once they have sold through their initial shipment.'"

As for the GameCube adapters, there is a drought of them, to say the least. I can't find them anywhere. One clerk told me that Nintendo has stopped making them, but I am hoping they release some more.

The adapters were available to order from GameStop like around noon, but they sold out again.

GameStop Shulk amiibo rumor:

"The GameStop manager that correctly gave us the date for Super Smash Bros Wii U has sent in another tip. The company is apparently planning to purchase enough Shulk figures to match the preorders. Once these are sold out the company won’t be getting any more in to give the Amiibo figure a rare status. Then when the second shipment comes in they will apparently be listing them as used for a marked up retail price. This is only a rumour at present, but the company has been known for doing similar practises in the past. Here's what the tipster had to say this time:

As you likely know, Gamestop will be exclusively selling the Shulk amiibo next year. From what I’ve heard, we will only be getting enough amiibos to exactly match the number of preorders — no more, no less. The idea is to keep the figure rare, increasing its market value and driving up demand. Then, several months later, we will receive a second shipment to sell as “Used” for a marked-up price."

Just like with the whole used Xenoblade for $80.

Anyone here bought the new Sonic game? I downloaded the demo and I was unimpressed to say the least....is the game as bad as the demo suggests?

Sonic Boom has already been named one of the worst games of all time.

I downloaded Captain Toad the other day. I just finished episode 2.

On metacritic, both versions actually have average scores less than that of Sonic '06. Ouch.

Although, I tend to not trust reviews anymore. For example, tons of people said Pokémon Mystery Dungeon was bad, but I thought it was awesome.

Don't forget IGN giving Pokémon Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby versions a 7.8/10 due to 'too much water."

Nonono, you can trust reviews on Sonic Boom (Wii U). Game is comically bad. Watch a Youtube review on it to see first-hand.

3DS is a mixed bag where most don't like it, but it has some redeeming quality.
