Threads on boards such as Giveaways, Shops & Services and Contests are well known to use Markup in their main threads. The nature of these threads entail their staff posting often with information such as offers, promotions, order lists, job availability and other updates.
The members working in these places are helping the community but despite this, they are often the most vulnerable to being reported for Overuse of Markup and Bumping Threads. In order to help reduce the amount of tickets submitted for those working in Giveaways, Shops, Services and Contests, and also to help all members to better understand what does or doesn't constitute an abuse of markup and/or thread bumping, the Mods and Admins have created this Sticky.
Here, any member may post the markup they are currently using or are considering using for their public threads or posts. Mods and Admins will then advise you on what is and isn't acceptable with your markup and how often it may be posted without it being considered as bumping. We will post our comments or make any adjustments within your post and if there are significant changes required, we will copy and paste your markup into the same post and edit it so that you can see the difference between what you have posted and what is acceptable.
This is not a service to ask us to create markup for you or to supply markup codes for the amendments. It is purely an additional tool to prevent you from being reported and to enable you to post within the rules that are already set out in the Site Rules, guidelines on various boards and also Section 6b of the Markup Guide on the Site Support Board.
This thread may also be used as a place to ask for clarification on bumping for any thread on any ACC public board.
Members are kindly requested not to respond to other members on this thread because advice you may give could be incorrect. Since it is the Mods and Admins who have to process tickets on overuse of markup and bumping, we will be the ones advising on this thread and further, we will not accept any member reporting posts on here for overuse of markup.
We also realize that sometimes a disgruntled member can report another member several times for markup abuse and/or bumping. Although such tickets are technically correct, we view this kind of deliberate targeting as Malicious Reporting. Anyone found to frequently report such posts made by one person will receive a notification for Harassment. We are hoping that the assistance given in this thread will go a long way to creating fairness on ACC.
We will endeavour to answer queries and amend posts on this thread as quickly as possible but please respect that sometimes we are busy with other ACC work and therefore we ask you to remain patient. Also, we would appreciate it if you wouldn't post to ask, "When will you approve my markup?" or similar. If you have the thread flagged, please remember that you won't see a new post to the thread when we have replied to you as we will be answering within your post. So please check your own post on the thread.

Ash556, my thinking is that the markup is a little overdone in your post. While the amount of markup really isn't an issue, it's the mixing and matching, combined with many different colors (some hard to read) that makes that hard to read. I've gone ahead and edited your post with a version that I think would be a bit more acceptable, and easier to read.

Hello, I am a member of an active cycling team over on the shops and services board. We are opening a new thread on Friday, and I wanted to make sure this markup was acceptable. The markup breaks up the information to make it easier to read, and follows a color scheme that relates to our topic. A gradient has been used for the title only. I believe it should be fine, just wanted to double check. I also wanted to double check something. While we don't have it added here, could we use a small keyboard art logo in this as well? That looks fine to me, Owen! If I may suggest just one small change, it's to not use colours which are quite light, as it makes things hard to read (e.g. the colour you used for "WiFi" and "Wi").
