Oh, the reason I'm writing it is because...umm...well...as I'm planning on it being an anime-like thing...once I get enough VAs...we need some OVAs...plus, in manga, they have little extra short stories at the end, sometimes. Especially in Rave Master. Yup.

Still kind of slacking and procrastinating... e.e
Chp. 5 Hover Ride!

While Kazuma and Megumi were cleaning up the remains of the Madoshi, I was choosing another weapon to use. I considered making my own, but I was never very good at making weapons. I chose a leather whip with a tip made of Madoshi weapon metal, thinking that I would practice later.

As I walked away from the weapon table, I picked up some of the gooey sludge of the Madoshi corpses. Staring at the hover, I held the sludge tightly in my hand, walking into the metallic vehicle.

I set the sludge on the handprint scanner. The hover immediately responded, roaring to life as it recognized Madoshi prints. Holograms showing the condition of the hover floated in front of my face, along with a portrait of an important-looking Madoshi. I found myself staring at a figure with a dark blue cloak, its body shape somewhat resembling that of an unnaturally tall human wearing a snow-white mask. It mesmerized me. It was intimidating, but...compulsive? Persuasive? Even just the hologram made me want to follower whatever its orders were.

I walked back outside, grabbing more sludge and dumping it into a bucket. The whole area was almost completely free of gooey messiness. I called out to Megumi and Kazuma, signaling for them to join me. A few of the members of Bunker 2 also came. We talked over the plan for the revolution, deciding that we needed to go to Tao, the closet city to us, next. We would free the people living there, and hopefully gain more supporters.

After that, we would go to Pyrex, clarifying in case we got separated that we would meet at the central platform. By hover it took about 20 minutes to get to Tao, then 10 minutes to get to Pyrex.

We all walked back into the hover, and after a brief explanation of how to activate it, Megumi took over controls. Before we departed, I checked to see who was coming. Megumi came and looked too. In total, five people besides Kazuma, Megumi, and I came. Eight people total.

Megumi looked for her parents; they were placed in a separate bunker and didn't see each other often. But the weren't there. Megumi's shoulders slouched, and I knew she was disappointed. But she straightened back up and started the hover.

The ride in the hover was extremely boring. I saw a couple of the bunker members flirting with each other to pass time, making me think of when I was helping Kazuma up; when we almost...

"Hey! KAZUMA!!! STOP IT!" I shouted. He had snuck up behind me and started pulling on my hair.

"Well, I'm bored. What do you wanna do? We're kinda stuck on this thing." He replied.

"Maybe you should stop acting like a six year old. Maybe this ride has been boring, but that doesn't mean you have to pull on my hair! It hurt!" I whined, glaring at him.

He smirked, annoying me further. I was about to push him away when I saw a spider. How in the world did a spider get on here? It was HUGE. Freaking out, I buried my face in Kazuma's chest, only to back away, my face turning a deep shade of red. Kazuma was just about to say something; to tease me, no doubt, when Megumi announced that we had arrived in Tao. It was time for the Japanese Revolution to officially start. Watch out, Madoshi!

Here's another little short.
Before the Madoshi Came: The Story of ******
Part 2
"...and that concludes the entrance ceremony. Congratulations for passing the entrance exams, and welcome of Minayoki Middle School! Please find your respective classes and wait for your teachers."

Although I was excited to start school, I almost fell asleep during the entrance ceremony. The principal made it so boring that I wanted to die. I was so glad when it was over. I looked at my schedule and saw that my class number was 3-E. I don't really know where that is. I guess I should find out.
As I walked through the school to find my class, I noticed that a ton of clubs were looking for people to join. Basketball, volleyball, ping pong, dark arts, light music...the list goes on. I stopped at one that looked interesting. The "Paranormal Research Club". I'll check it out after school today.
I found my classroom at the end of a long hallway. The desks weren't in the best shape, and we had a chalkboard instead of a ETB(Electronic Teaching Board. It is 2050...). Sitting down, I looked at the seating arrangement. It was in English. Whew. Since I moved to Britain when I was little, I don't know very much Japanese. I don't know why my parents made me take entrance exams to an immersion school when English is the language I know best. Megumi didn't have to go to an immersion school...
I kept thinking, unaware of my surroundings, so I was lost in my thoughts when someone came up to me and kicked my desk.
"What was that for?" I asked. Nobody answered. Everyone was sitting in their seats, looking away from me. The teacher came 5 minutes later. He introduced himself as Mr. Daichi. He was really tall, and really skinny too. He seemed nice, despite having a mean looking face. I was really, really wrong.

Sorry!! It's been a long time since I updated...
Chp. 6...no title name...for now...
Megumi's POV (I finally switched POV's! It's only for a short amount of time for now.)

I heard a scream, and switched the screen to a camera view of the compartment behind me. It was just Irie, freaking out about a spider. I giggled as I saw her jump into Kazuma. As I watched her face turn red, I felt a bump. The hover had stopped. I checked where we were, skipping to the door that led to where Kazuma and Irie were. I kicked open the door and saw Kazuma opening his mouth, but I cut him off.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we have arrived in Tao. Please make sure you have all your belongings, and exit the hover safely!" I announced, mimicking a plane attendant's voice as best I could. Kazuma looked up at me and grinned, and Irie, her face returning to its normal color, looked out the window. And then, we left.

No words were spoken as we left the hover. Everyone filed out, silently, like we would if we were transported by the Madoshi. Our plan was in action. Excitement coursed through my body, and I almost jumped. Irie and Kazuma could sense my excitement, and looked back amused. Or, that's what I thought until they asked why I was so hyper. I guess I actually did jump. Whatever.

Citizens eyed us curiously, but were careful to keep working. Although they didn't know why yet, the Madoshi were much more aggravated and cruel than usual. We walked to the back of town, near the site we knew construction was happening in. The site faced the back of the jail; it was most likely a future torture chamber or something.

After messing around a bit in the mud and dust, we looked like true construction workers. I laughed at the sight of everyone in such dirty attire. I was snorting by the time Kazuma hit me in the back of the head and almost knocked me over. That sure did get quite a laugh from everyone.

We all sat down and discussed the plan. I only half listened. I was more interested in the technology Tao had. There were wires EVERYWHERE. Everything seemed to have some sort of electric device attached to it. I was thinking about the ways I could make the jumble of wires more efficient when Irie's eyes grew wide with fear. I looked around and saw one of the worst sights I ever saw.

The Madoshi had closed in on us.

The construction site we had chosen was blocked off on all sides, but we didn't think that mattered at the time. Now we all realized how stupid we were. I thought of jumping onto the roof, but realized I would never reach the top of any of the tall skyscrapers. I froze. Before I could move again, Kazuma had started charging, his scythe held behind him. Right when Kazuma reached the Madoshi in the center, the majority of the Madoshi melted into the sludge that was their corpses. Stunned, Kazuma stepped back. I said something like, "Cool!", but no one heard me. Irie stared at the piles, then her gaze traveled up. She took out her dagger, her voice quivering, and shouted, "Who are you guys?" across the lot. I looked to where her shaking dagger pointed. There, where the Madoshi had been standing just a moment before, were our saviors.

They were the Resistance.

Kazuma's POV (yeah...I wanted to change the POV again...)

I looked at where a Madoshi was a second earlier. A hatchet had replaced it, leaving the Madoshi as a pile of sludge. I stepped back, mainly to avoid the hatchet, but also to not step in the sludge. A bunch of teenagers were holding out weapons, but the one holding the hatchet ordered them to put them down when Irie shouted. He stepped forward, mock bowing in Irie's direction.

"My name is Riku Suzuki. Leader of the 2nd Division. We're part of the Resistance." His voice was smooth, somewhat persuasive. I had no trouble figuring out part of his rise to leadership. He walked toward me, thinking I was the leader, and handed me a card with the word 'RESISTANCE' at the top. Underneath that was a division symbol, with 2nd Division circled on it. Finally, "Riku Suzuki: 17" along with a picture of him: slightly tanned, long light brown hair, and eyes bright green.

"Suzuki... I've heard that name before. It's not a very common name." I murmured. "Is it possible that you are the son of Ayato Suzuki? One of the millionaires who had half their fortune taken away to fund the Madoshi?"

Riku grinned. "Of course. Who else would I be?" He said, his eyes lighting up. I grimaced. This guy was going to turn out really bossy, by the sound of it. I heard Megumi laughing at something and turned around. Turns out, she had thought Riku's last statement was really funny for some reason.

I turned my attention back to Riku, but his gaze had traveled to the rest of the group. Mainly Megumi and Irie. Annoyance swept through me, and I almost smacked the guy. Fortunately for him, though, I regained my composure and, instead of hitting him, asked if he would like to meet Irie or Megumi. He said sure, so I called them over. Riku went to Irie and took her hand, kissing the top of it, causing her to blush. (italics)The nerve of this guy...(italics) He then proceeded to do the same with Megumi.

We then went through introductions of everyone there, but the only people I could remember at the end were Riku, Chizuru, Loki, and Takeda. Chizuru Nanami was Riku's bride-to-be, and the same age as Riku. I had to admit, she was very beautiful. She wore her long pink hair in pigtails, her soft pink eyes mostly hidden under her bangs. The only weird part was she wouldn't talk to anyone. But I put the matter aside. Takeda was Riku's brother: average build, light brown hair, and blue eyes. A bit paler than Riku, and also a year younger, by looks. Loki was 14, like Irie, and had blonde hair, brown eyes, and a long black cloak on, even though it was swelteringly hot. He didn't speak much either. Nor did he give his last name.

They led us back to their headquarters; an abandoned church with multiple buildings branching off of it. Faces stared out of broken windows as we passed; some curious, some aggressive, and some scared. I looked at Irie, who had started to focus on the ground, and watched as more and more of her long, dark red hair streamed across her face. I smiled. She used to keep it short all the time, to make it easier to do parkour. Then, she decided that people stared at her too much while she was running. She grew her hair out so she wouldn't have to see the people watching her. I was so focused on her hair that I didn't notice that we had stopped, and I ran straight into Chizuru, backing away as she sent me an angry glare. A slender figure ran out, waving excitedly as she saw us approach.

"Hey! Riku! Did you find some new recruits?" She yelled while running. A girl with long white hair pinned in a sloppy bun grabbed my wrist and stared into my face before I had a chance to react. I jerked my hand away and she looked at me in surprise. I noticed the mace hanging by her belt and the brown smithing clothes before looking up into her face. She was pretty. She had light blue eyes, and she seemed to be very impulsive, going by her actions. She looked at the rest of our group and smiled.

"They have weapons! Great! Let's get them settled in! Introductions will come later, it's almost 1:00. Time for lunch!" She said, grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards the building. "Oh, and my name is Azusa Shimada. Nice to meet you all!"
I know you guys probably kind of gave up on this thing, but...there you go!! Next time, instead of the "Before the Madoshi Came: The Story of ******" thing, I'm posting character charts! As in...what the character likes, dislikes, blood type...name...that type of stuff.

Yay! More story! Isn't this the time you ended last time? I hope you go on.

Character charts will be very helpful. I get characters confused with each other a lot of the time. Especially, when they have names I don't see/hear regularly.

Also, if you want to put something in italics, highlight it message box before you post it and click on the I above. I don't know if you just forgot to do it or if it was just a note to yourself. But there you go if you didn't know.

I totally forgot about that. I was rushed, so I just copied and pasted...it was supposed to be a note to myself, before I learned the actual markup stuff. Well, I'm working on the character charts right now. Editing them from the version with pictures next to them.

Character Chart 1: Irie Nakamura

Irie is the first character I came up with, so she's the first perspective I wrote from. Of course, she isn't the only main character. In this story, there seems to be a lot of main characters...I really have to decide on which ones to keep! I seriously feel like a manga artist doing this...I can just imagine the little column next to the panels that holds this section. Well, not much is kept secret about her...or won't be. Anything that isn't mentioned isn't withheld for any reason, it just hasn't come up. So, I guess I'll say a bit about her...this is going partially from memory, so forgive me if I contradict myself later.

Irie was originally going to be Erie. Until I realized that the pronunciation would be different... She is 14 years old, and her birthday is May 30, 2039(that's right, right? 2053-14?). So she's a Gemini. She's also a sheep, I think, according to the Chinese Zodiac. Also, her Blood Type is A...it apparently means a lot in terms of temperament and stuff... Well, anyway...

Her hair is a dark red color, and her eyes are light purple-ish (or something like that). Her hobbies include parkour type stuff(free-running), music, and learning. She's best friends with Kazuma and Megumi. She met Megumi first, being forced to go to a formal party when she was 7 or 8(haven't decided when the birthday is). She met Kazuma 4 months later, at the age of 8, when she was running around. She accidentally ran into him. She doesn't really have any romantic feelings for him, even though it's sort of suggested in like, chapter three or something. It's more of a big brother type thing.

My iPad just ran out of batteries. While I was charging it.

Irie is a scaredy-cat, but tries to stand her ground in tough(or scary) situations. Unfortunately for her, and those in the situation with her, she fails over half the time. She doesn't like large weapons or heavy armor. The weapons she uses are the dagger and a whip with a metal tip(that she doesn't know how to use. Fun, right?) She does stick up for her friends, and is a bit shy. Likes sweet food, bunnies, and soft shelled turtles. She is pretty smart, academically and common-sense wise. She wants to reunite with her family, who were reported missing after a bank robbery. Her favorite color is purple, yet she doesn't like her eyes. She has a lack of arm strength.

More on her family: She was in a family or 7. Her, her mother and father, 2 older brothers, a younger sister, and their grandfather. That's a pretty big family, for me. Her family, minus herself, went to the bank on a day it got robbed. That was when she was 10. She stayed behind to research some stuff(which I actually am hiding from you guys...for now. Her family was reported missing after the robbers got caught. She hasn't seen them since.
I think this thing is almost as long as one of my chapters...

Hehe...oops. But, yeah...please vote for me, I was selected later than most in the competition because someone else was inactive. I am in Mamanator's Chocolate group. VOTING RULEE TIMEE~~~
Voting Rules

1. Absolutely no telling anyone who you voted for.  Especially not the person themselves. The only people who should know your vote is yourself and me. And any randomers you decide you want to tell that are unrelated to ACC.  You're welcome to say you're going to support/vote for them, that can't be stopped, but as long as you don't actually say you voted for them then it's okay.

2. You can't vote for yourself. Ever.  If you even try to, you'll have a vote deducted from you.

3. Please note the amount of times you can vote will vary throughout the competition.  For now, you can only vote once a day.

4. Every vote (for now) is consisted of 3 possibilities.

Type 1:  You give 1 vote to 1 story.

"eg. I vote for Shella"
Type 2: You give 2 votes to 1 story, and 1 vote to another

"eg. 2 votes for TTACWW, 1 vote for bunkbeds"
Type 3: You give 1 vote to 3 different people

"eg. 1 vote for DarkMuffin, 1 vote for accflover101, 1 vote for Cutiepiepie"
This means that if you want to only vote for your favourite, you can only award one vote.  But if you want to give them more, then you have to vote for another. It also allows you to spread votes out between three.  This stops people spamming me with 3 votes for one person, and also reduces the chance of getting bottom ties of more than 2/3 at the start of the competition. Let's not have another bottom 7 like in 2009.

5. You must send your votes in a PT to JUST me.  No judges, only you and I.  Just calling it 'Competition Vote' or even just 'Vote' is fine.  But please do not put something like 'Vote for ElizabethPrower' or 'Competition'.  No contestant names, and make it obvious it's a voting PT, please.

6. Please note that I do have a busy life. If I don't reply to your PT, even after a few days, make sure you've actually added me.  If you have, then hover over my name at the top where it shows everyone in the PT.  If it says I have read it, then you're welcome to post again and remind me. As soon as I read a PT and count a vote, I post to say thanks, or I forget whether I've counted or not. If I've not replied but read it, it means I forgot to count it.  The only other time you're allowed to post to remind me is that if I've started announcing results, but not viewed your PT.  Your vote could make a difference to a result, so if it gets to that stage, I'm actually asking you to please post again.  When I'm not posting results and I see an unread vote PT, I may not check until before I start results. I'm lazy. But I will get there.

7. Contestants and judges are allowed to AND encouraged to vote. Although it may surprise you, the bulk of votes in past years have been from people involved in the competition.  Yes, voting for others could well affect your own position... But I rely on nice and supportive contestants to keep the thing running.  Especially in the early stages, where I need all the votes I can get to avoid a massive bottom tie.   Judges are also allowed to vote for their own groups of course.

8. Please feel free to advertise in your own threads, and ask for votes.  Please do not post in anyone else's threads (this includes NOT saying stuff like 'Great story! Please check out mine and vote!' or whatever) or other people's PTs without permission.  Also, when advertising, ensure you either tell them the voting rules yourselves or refer them to this thread first.

9. The only person on all of ACC not allowed to vote is me.  Poor me.

10. Voting is ALWAYS open.  What happens, is that at the end of the week... There's a seal-off point for that week.  Any votes after that will then carry on to the week after.  If the person you voted for past that cut-off is then eliminated the next day, then I'm afraid your vote is forefeit.

eg. Deadline for week 3 is Friday at 11.59pm ACC time.  You vote for... Hammer_Kirby at 12.01am Saturday.  Your vote is carried on to week 4.

Hammer_Kirby is then eliminated week 3. You lose your vote.

I should specify every week when the cut-off point is, and it should stay the same time and day of the week each time. It's your responsibility to get your votes in before that time, but I do still encourage you to keep voting after the cut-off and get votes in for the week later.

11. Finally, everyone's vote count will keep going up and up throughout the competition.  So, if xMuffinx has 4 votes week 1 and gets through, she starts week 2 with those 4 votes. Then if she gets 3 votes week 2, she'll have 7 votes.  This'll continue throughout the competition, so contestants that are in the bottom tie have to really fight to get out there.  Everyone else will keep rising, and it's down to the contestants to improve their writing and fight for their place.

Of course, if you've seen previous competitions, there are certain twists that may disrupt this... Oops.

That's the voting rules.

Another thing that I'm bringing back, that I'll be posting in the judge PT after this.

Judges' Choice

Every week, the four judges will select their top 3 contestants they want to reward for hard work.  I'll then put them together and work out the average top 3, who will earn 5 - 3 - 1 votes respectively.  To make it fairer, the judges are NOT allowed to select a group member for their first place spot.  They can for 2nd and 3rd, however, but not 1st.  This'll happen every week, and will be announced on the thread somewhere.
