Hey ACC'ers! Welcome to the Animal Crossing New Leaf Badges Guide! This guide explains what badges are, how to get them, what they do, and lists EVERY badge in the game! I can assure you that all of this information comes from the OFFICIAL game and not rumors or speculation, so you can feel confident that this guide is 100% REAL.
If you don't know a lot about the game or the subject then this is the place to be! Every badge is listed here so if your wondering what they are, or if you just want to see all of the badges in the game in one big list, then I have you covered!
NOTE: This guide is 100% made by me. Badges are a brand new feature introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. In previous games, the only time you ever got prizes and rewards for doing things around town were when you won first place in the fishing and bug-catching contests run by Chip and Nat. But now, not only do you get something in return for fishing and bug-catching, but you also get badges for donating to the museum, popping ballons with your slingshot, getting medals on the island, planting flowers and trees, pulling weeds, shopping, and overall playing the game for at least 50 hours (which shouldn't be a problem with all of the new features in AC:NL).
Now, you may be asking, "Well how to I get these badges?" Well, you get them from Phineas, the sea lion who gave out balloons, bunny balloons, and pinwheels in AC:CF. He will only visit your town when it is at least partly sunny, and he can give you up to 3 badges every time he visits.
For every badge, there are 3 levels: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. When you recieve a badge, you will always get the bronze one first. Then, you will get the silver, and then of course the gold. So this basically means that the number of badges in the game tripples!
But there are some conditions to getting badges from Phineas: • Phineas will not visit you every day that it is sunny. • You never know what badge you will get. • There are three levels (as I mentioned earlier). • You will not be able to keep track on your progress for some of the badges (such as how much money you've spent), as the information is never revealed to you in the game. I will list all of the Badges in the next post.
The StreetPass badge though... even bronze is going to be nearly impossible for most of us! I've had a total of 7 StreetPasses ever and I'm sure that most people with a 3DS won't get New Leaf anyway: it's popular but it's no Mario Kart...
100 is entirely unfeasible and 1,000 is completely impossible unless I move to Japan and spend every day in a train station or a college...
FCRs from over 18s only please.
Wow, I really hope NoA has the sense to change the StreetPass requirements in the US version. That may be within the realm of possibility for Japanese players, but 1000 is just sheer lunacy for American players.
I have four people in my family, and right now we have 3x 3ds so thank goodness! we'll have no problems with the street passes, plus when the game comes out the fourth person is going to get a 3ds as well. I think we're probably the only ones not worried about street passing.
Current towns: Popurri- Ellamae . . .Medley- Mae
Old towns: Roseling, Clue
RE: the street passing. I've street passed in libraries, the closer to schools the better.
There is a...well not sure what to call it, a collectables/comic book/etc. It's called Frank and Son Warehouse in City of Industry. It's in CA LOTS of street passes there on Saturdays, I haven't tried Wednesdays.
You can street pass the working 3DS/XL dispalys at your local Targets or ToysRus. I always check to make sure that their WIFI light is on, if not I turn it on. Doesn't hurt to verify that you've tagged. Someone may have inadvertanly (or purposefully) disabled the street pass feature.
And, as mentioned before, you can find street pass groups on Facebook to find meet-ups close to your area.
Wow, I hadn't been on the New Leaf board until recently, and I just found this. It's very interesting, and it looks like there are quite a few new features, and the badges range from easy to get to very difficult to get. Should be fun!
