The Aika village has been making the rounds across the Animal Crossing community in Japan. It was made especially for the Dream World function. It can be reached with the code 2600[/b]-0218-[/b]7298, if anyone with Tobidase wants to check it out. For a video, go here and go to around 9:00 to see the process start. If it's available as an option, you might want to click the gear and press the 1.5x or 2.0x speed option -- this will help you skip over a lot of things and reduce the time you need, then just slow it back down when you want to see something interesting.
I've created a guide to help you navigate the video and explain some things. The player goes into every villager home but I don't think that's necessary to watch -- just pick what is interesting for you. Warning! This is very creepy!
9:00 -- Beginning of the adventure 10:44 -- Arrival in Aika village 11:03 -- The present contains a doll 15:07 -- "I love mommy", notice the NPC's outfit! 15:17 -- The first house 15:40 -- Notice the outfit on the mannequin in the middle! 15:32 -- Rougly "Falling Asleep Song" 17:00 -- Leaves first house 17:30 -- The item is one half a set of gloves, literally, "Half of the Gloves" 17:42 -- Maze with sweets and traps 23:31 -- "I love mommy", but it's very strangely written. People with beginner's Japanese knowledge will notice it's written in Hiragana and Katakana -- so it might be more like "I lOvE mOmMy" in English 25:16 -- Notice the town flag 25:59 -- "Black Marine Suit" 26:25 -- The second house 29:27 -- This room was hard for me to understand; apparently its the Garden of Eden from the Book of Genesis 31:21 -- The item is a kennel 31:37 -- The item is also a kennel 31:50 -- The item is one half a set of gloves, literally, "Half of the Gloves" 34:58 -- Bubbles 35:22 -- The third house 35:36 -- The word "mommy" is there, but in both Roman and Hiragana scripts; the sentence is incomplete and it's something like "I love mamamamamamama" in English. 40:09 -- Re-vists the third house 44:15 -- No message here, just jibberish 44:40 -- The fourth house 49:44 -- The item dug up is a skeleton 50:50 -- Shoes by the beach. In Japan, many people remove their shoes before committing suicide. If this was to be implied or not is unknown. 50:52 -- The item is red shoes 50:40 -- Re-vists the first home 50:31 -- "I love mommy" 54:42 -- Sits on the big tree, "credits" come up including the name of the villagers, mayor and other info. 57:40 -- We go home. Miscellaneous exploring and other tasks around the city after this
So what did you guys think about Aika? Creepy! I think each of the human characters were the doll -- if you notice, they kind of look like the red dollies that appear everywhere! I think the dolly got jealous of the owner's real family and did terrible things
Creepiness aside, I think it really shows how much you can customize your town this time! I'm really looking forward to other themed towns, kind of like what we saw in Animal Crossing Wild World, but even better this time!
I love the differences between the three houses. It's so incredibly well thought out & well made. I particularly love the paintings in which they display the child, her toys, her family at one point & more.
The dolls, of course, are a perfect addition.
I like coming up with a storyline to how / why everything is how it is. I can almost imagine the NPCs voice. o 3 o
So a human player made this town? What is so creepy about it? I saw the video, it just looked like a mess.

I saw the LinkandKo one, and I also liked their tour. That's where I learned the shoes bit. But they skipped over the 2nd house and I think they went out of order, too, which is why I picked the hour long one.
The detail is insane! I agree. The second house is my absolute favorite, even if I don't understand it.
I watched Linandko's trip to it, and might check that hour long one now, haha. I wonder if it was based on an urban legend or something... Doubtful, but I'd like to read about it if it were, heheh. Very creative and hope I can see it when I get New Leaf.
I have returned to the ACC. I need new buddies.

Wow, this has to be one of the creepiest and most well-thought-out places I've ever heard of. I wish I could visit it myself, but it appears to be 1. Japan only (region locked?) and 2. my parents don't allow WiFi, not even dream codes when no one knows you're there. Ah, well, that video suffices--it shows everything. I hope they make an English version!
Conquer the earth, they said.
It will be FUN, they said.
This is absolutely brilliant! I never thought I could find Animal Crossing creepy. Even The Terrible Secret of Animal Crossing didn't creep me out as much as thing. It's definitely one of the first towns that I'll be visiting when I get the game.
It really shows how much of a variety we have with customisation.
Tangy is the best and if you disagree you need to reevaluate your life.
I'm 14 hours AHEAD of ACC time.
Am i the only one that caught on to why in the second house there was all of those electronic signs depicting a runner? it must have been a warning. By far the was the most disturbing town I've ever seen. IT WAS AWESOME. *runs off to watch the LinandKo version*
Hm... I think that the doll was alive and she had a very strong attachment with her owner. When her "mommy" started forgetting about her, she possessed the family and did awful things, like going all axe murderer and suicidal with them, and I think the "mommy" was the one who committed suicide. The doll got her body from the ocean and felt remorse, so she buried her.
I don't know, just a thought. I don't fully understand it, but the music was what made it creepy to me. xD
