I hacked Wild World once. I couldn't get my hands on seeds, though, so I just hacked bell bags into the game. It got boring, though, and I think I temporarily damaged my game cart, so I stopped.

Yea I hacked in wild world and I regret it so much. It ruined the game for me.

I don't even have the temptation to hack anymore, thankfully- I lost my AR.
Also, was the game just ruined in an enjoyment sense, or did the AR actually damage the game cart? Hacking devices have a reputation for mysteriously destroying the games they're used on...

I myself have never used any devices to cheat, but I have time traveled into a few days back- if that was taken away, I would be sad.   I once was unable to go on animal crossing because I was away, and time traveling allowed me to make sure none of my villagers (I love them all!) moved away!

So you don't think it's greedy to sell a piece of Gulliver furniture for 20000 bell bags? Or sell a piece of DLC furniture that costs you, oh around 1000-2000 bells to order for 5000+ bells? I'm not saying you should just give this stuff away, but you also shouldn't be selling it for that much more than its catalog buying price.

Why shouldn't you sell it for more than the catalogue price, people have worked hard for the items they are selling, and other people are willing to pay the more expensive price. If it was so unreasonable, then those trades wouldn't happen, would they?

Hacking was a bit too easy and prevalent in previous titles. I did it at first, but then thought the feeling of accomplishment was really lost. It also made it tough to find things to do in another town since everyone had everything already. But seeing some of those dummy/placeholder and the moving boxes first hand was pretty exciting. Giveaways could possibly suffer from no/minor hacking, but player to player trading will feel really welcoming. I'm getting a 3DS soon just to play this (when it comes out), so I'll look forward to trading with you guys~

All these people dependent on hacked goods/saying it will be no fun without them is just pathetic.

Why do you need hacks to enjoy ANIMAL CROSSING? Why do you want all the work done for you?

Giveaways DO ruin the game for others. Think about it. Us legit players work hard fishing, catching bugs, harvesting fruit, and whatnot, to barely satisfy our needs at the moment, with the subconscious knowledge that people get all the bells they need cheating, and doing no work.

Although Jupetti has a point, I still think that if Royal Crowns/Regular Crown and Bags of 99k were removed, there would be less controversy.

People hack:

1. To get items that are a pain to find.
2. To get things done so they can WiFi.
3. Have fun with things like hacked emotion, ect.
4. Help others get items.

People can play their games how they want. Just bevause you don't like hacking doesn't mean others don't.

The only time I hacked was when I was playing WW I used the AR, but it made it really boring

You can always just watch who you wi-fi with if you want a pure non-hacked game.

I don't see what the fun in hacking is. Items that are supposed to be hard to get are supposed to be hard to get for a reason. This is why they are rare. When someone decides to hack and gives 1000s of them out to everyone, the rarity and fun of the item is lost. Once again, I ask.. Why would you want to take work away from yourself in Animal Crossing. This is a progression game, go at your own pace and relax. Have fun and just do what you do.

Everyone knows that Animal Crossing games reach a point where you've done pretty much everything you want to do. New Leaf has substantially increased that time, perhaps even made it quite indefinite in a sense all the new things you can do over WIFI and whatnot. So why would you want to.. Get a free Golden Fishing rod, no more point in catching all the fish and having a nice legitimate rod to show for it. Get a free Golden Net, no more point in catching all the bugs and having a nice legitimate net to show for it. Get a free Golden axe, no more point in going in that odyssey of item trading within the NPC's of the game and get lucky and get it. Get free Jacobs Ladders, hybrids, and gold roses galore, Golden Watering Can.. No more point in working to make your town perfect and making those long efforts to make the town perfect in hopes of the elusive can and rare-no-more flowers. Get a free 50million bells.. No more point in trying to make bells and have fun. Here; everything is handed to you. The only thing you have to do is wait for things to build.

Why are people, who complain about the long wait for Animal Crossing: New Leaf and how it should be released ASAP, even care about the game if all they are planning on doing is ruining the game for themselves? Animal Crossing turns into absolute CRAP the second you start hacking for rare items and bells. Why even bother hacking if your just causing irreversible damage (Once you hack.. there really is no going back.. Making a new town and trying to start anew.. No, you're already hooked. It's like a drug. It's only a matter of time before you start hacking again, or you'll feel like your wasting all your time and not enjoy the game anymore because you don't need to do all this hard work.. you can simply just log onto ACC and get everything you need and more in yet another giveaway. It's just absolutely idiotic to hack. And I say this for the hackers/people who benefit from hackers' own good. Don't you guys want to enjoy the game to full extent? Don't you want to play this game for as long as you possibly can? We've waited a grueling amount of years and months, and to this day, not even a simple release date has been unveiled, considering the Japanese regions have already been playing for almost 2 months.

Things like hacked emotions.. I don't disagree against these. I may just even support them. Things like this, that absolutely do nothing but make the game more fun, absolutely. THESE are things that should be hacked. Not items and bells.

Some people just don't want to wait forever for one item when they could easily just get it. No, it's a simulation game, and some people don't want to wait and just get the items already.

I can play the game for as long as I can. Getting a few items isn't going to change that.

I forgot to put in my post "To each his own". All my post was for was an explanation on my hacking is not a good idea for this game. I have no more input to give in this argument.

If you want to hack, so be it. I'm just explaining why the game would be more pure -- the way it is SUPPOSEd to be -- if you were to play legit. If this was the way the game was supposed to be, Nintendo would give you a magical button that would allow you to get a billion bells and a hundred of each golden item. But there is no magical button, and there was never one intended to be.

Hacking was never supposed to be here in the first place. I'm not going to sit here and respond to the same recycled argument that people would rather skip the game and get everything they want in two seconds. I already wrote a freaking essay responding to that in my previous post. I will do it no more.

Still, there was no reason to say it's idiotic to hack, should I say it's idiotic to eat hamburgers instead of hotdogs? No.

Implying that the game is just getting stuff. It's not, there's much more to do so by getting items for free, you're not skipping the game, you're just skipping a long tedious wait. Kay then.

Rare items are the spoils of completing accomplishments of the game. Having the items handed to you IS skipping the game.

There's WiFi-ing, talking to other animals and decorating the home/town. Probably more I can't think of.
