That's actually one of the reasons I got myself a 3DS yesterday. That, and because I was tired of using my sorta-broken DS :[/b]P Though I did also get Ocarina of Time so I'd have at least one 3DS game for now til NL is released

Well, years ago, I only bought my Wii when I just happened to stumble upon videos on YouTube of people playing City Folk. Lol! I've been hooked ever since! My hubby mentioned buying me a 3DS XL for Christmas/Hannukah this year, but I honestly wasn't sure because I never really touched my DSi...but then I saw that they were coming out with New Leaf and so I think I'd like one now! My only fear is that I had Wild World for my DS and I didn't really like it (the screen was too small to really enjoy it, and the controls were too weird) so I'm hoping I'll like it more if I do get the XL 3DS and the controls are different than Wild World. I do love seeing all the new features that New Leaf has!

I have a 3DS already, awaiting the Oz release of AC:NL  - actually its the ONLY reason I bought it...well that & Prof Layton

I would really love to get a 3DS, and the only reason is AC:NL. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to buy one.

I WAS going to beg my parents for one when AC:NL was finally released, but I found one at my local store for $135 and it happened to be an ambassador unit! Major bonus there, so now I'm just going to ask for at least $40 eShop credit for Christmas so I can get the game the hour is comes out.
(I say at least because I still want to download other games, too, of course)

I got a 3ds for the sole purpose of playing new leaf. That was almost 11 months ago.

I'm [hopefully] going to get a 3DS for my birthday or christmas, I'm thinking birthday though as it's in January, and AC:NL may be released by then.
Pretty much the only reason I want one, aha.

Looking through this, I'd hate to be in a store looking for a 3DS on AC:NL on/near launch at this rate.

Got mine for AC3DS, Paper Mario: Sticker Star, and Luigi's Mansion 2! I only have Rayman and MK7 right now, but I am getting Sticker Star in a few days

I got a 3ds at launch, but the game i've been really waiting for is AC:NL.

Slypickle if your getting a good, high-end gaming desktop, I would go for it cause Steam has a ton of games and they have great sales. If no, go with the Wii U (btw NSMBwiiU looks great!).

I mostly want a new desktop for TF2 and Minecraft recording in the future, and other games on Steam. I am still contemplating over which one...

I got a 3DS for no apperent reason... yay gifts? Yeah, I got mine before I even knew about ACNL. I really only play nintendogs + cats on it or use the internet browser to get on ACC.

YES! My mom told me that if I want a 3ds and the game, I'll have to buy it myself since I already have a normal ds. I signed up for an after school tutoring job that I do once a week, and I'm putting most of that money for the 3ds and game hopefully I'll have saved enough money by the time the game is released in the US.

Then you bet wrong cause AC:NL isn't the only reason I'm gonna get a 3DS.

There's KHDD, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Virtue's Last Reward [after I get 999]and Resident Evil.

I wouldn't buy a Japanese 3DS, but...

I think that me getting the 3DS on release date was influenced by me knowing that AC would come out "soon" (pfft) but I also knew that there would be a ton of great games coming even sooner. So... no. There's tons of other games that I was excited for.

I don't think that I'd buy a Wii U just for Animal Crossing though, or at least not for many more years. :/

The only games I wanted for 3DS are Mario Kart 7, Ocarina of Time 3D, AC:NL and Nintendogs.
