So I'm thinking about getting my eyebrow pierced. Can anyone tell me about the pain involved? On a scale of 1-10, how painful is it? (10 being the highest amount of pain.)
I have three liprings myself. But if you think going for the eyebrow is good, then go for it. I agree with Cupcake though. Get it done professionally to play it safe.

I don't remember I got them done in early or mid 2006 xD Wellllll only two. I got the third last October and I was sneaky and numbed my lip with ice before I went in so not too painful. A pinch with the numbing really.
(Yes Iknow numbing it was cheating but who cares lol)

I only have my lip and ear cartilage done. My lip barely hurt at all. Ear hurt quite a bit.
Because of the location of the eyebrow piercing, it shouldn't hurt too badly. The main thing you should be concerned with is going to a reputable piercer, since it is a surface piercing, and surface piercings are rarely done correctly haha. An easy way to find an APP certified piercer is using this search.
I have my tongue, cartilage 4 times, and ear lobes pierced. My tongue by far hurt the worst, it just pinched, but I mean afterwards when my tongue swelled up, it hurt so bad. I also had my nose pierced for a short time, that hurt so bad, it stung and my eyes watered uncontrollably. One of my cartilage is on the very top of my ear, I have a curved barbell in it. It looks funny now, like my ear has grown the length of the ring, it's smooshed and long almost like I'm Vulcan I'm not sure if my ear would go back to normal if I removed it.

YoungCardinals - Yeah, I imagine the cartilage piercing would hurt quite a bit. Thank you for the link, but it shows that there is no one in my area. How do you think they could mess up?
Usually using the wrong jewelry or something along those lines. The best thing to do is go onto Facebook an look through the portfolios for the shops you're considering going to. Since eyebrow piercings are pretty standard, they should have a picture of one. This is pretty much how an eyebrow piercing should look. The jewelry isn't too long, and the placement is correct. Look for something like that in the portfolios. I hope that's helpful :p
YoungCardinals - Ah, I see. I really like how the one in that pic doesn't just go straight up and down. Do they usually go a little sideways? Seems like I usually see them straight up and down. Do I go to a tattoo parlor to have this done? I'm new to the whole piercing thing. I only have my earlobes pierced.
It depends on how you personally want it. Just bring up to the piercer what you'd prefer :p Eyebrow piercings can be straight or angled.
You'll need to go to a tattoo parlor to get it pierced. Most tattoo parlors have piercers. You can look online for parlors in your area. You'll be able to find something good there!
Well you can't have one without the other. There's an area in downtown where I live and there's several dozen tattoo and piercing parlors in the area. Those two seem to go hand in hand xD

I have five piercings. Two in my right eyebrow, one in the middle of my lip and both my ears. I'd say myself the lip piercing was the most uncomfortable. The eyebrow wasn't too bad, and I had absolutely no pain relief. I'd say, make sure its a reputable place first. It makes all the difference.
When I had my bellybutton pierced, an "appentice" did it. It really hurt, was crooked and got infected 6 days later. He did other piercings no problem, but mine just didn't turn out right. I have 11 ear piercings. I did them myself (with a piercing stud), no problems. The cartilage part hurt a little, not too bad. I also have 8 tattoos. I'd get more tats before I'd ever get my bellybutton pierced again. My hubby had 2 eyebrow piercings, and he loved them!
I've always wanted to get my eyebrow done, but I never got around to it, and I think it might affect my ability to get hired some places. I know there are still a bunch of places that have a dress code that forbids anything other than ear piercings.
I've been thinking about getting one of my ears done though
