In the updated Topics Not Allowed rule, it has not been possible to post an exhaustive list of topics that are or are not allowed to be posted on ACC. Since the Modmin Staff appreciate that the absence of a list can lead to notifications being issued, we have created this Sticky to help you to both avoid posting on the wrong board and avoid posting unsuitable topics.
If you are unsure of which board a topic should be posted on or generally need to know whether a topic is allowed on public boards or private threads, simply post here and wait for a Modmin to advise you.
Do not use this thread to ask about posting anything hateful, explicit, or offensive, as topics of such nature are not permitted anywhere on ACC.
Thank you.

"Do you mean a report of your game-play? If that's what you mean, it would go on the Video Games board."
Would this apply to every video game journal (excluding Animal Crossing)? So, how about a journal on um... a Pokemon game or something it would go on video games?
Yes, if you're going to be talking about playing the game, your progress, etc - that would go on the Video Games board. However, if there is already an official sticky for the game you want to talk about, you shouldn't create a new thread.

I was thinking of making a create your own adventure where I would make the story and other users would choose what would happen next, but would it go in the story board or the forum games board?

Heya all! I was wondering where a Halloween Plant Growing Contest (real life flowers, not AC ones) would go? I thought that it would go on the Off-Topic Board or the Contests Board, but I am stuck between the two.
If there are prizes associated with the contest, then it would belong on the Contests Board. If there are no prizes involved with said contest, then I'd say the Off Topic or GG Off Topic Board would be the place to go.

So do threads that are posted on the Contests and Competitions board have to offer prizes? I'm thinking about making a fanfiction competition, but I'm not sure if I should post in on the Contests and Competitions board since there might not be a prize for it.
Yes, all contests/competitions on the Contests and Competitions board must offers some sort of prize(s). Fan-fic competitions that do not offer any sort of prizes must be run within PTs and are not allowed on the public boards.

Please help me, I really have no idea what I'm doing, or where to post this! I have bred copious hybrids that I feel a waste to just sell to Nook, that others could get the pleasure of. They are taking all the spare space in my bureau & all the extras, I have to plant daily, then pick'em again before I go to bed, just incase I do manage to give them away they'll be fresh for transportation. I Love my Town, so I am somewhat apprehensive inviting strangers over, so if you are a genuine Lover of A.C.ww & would treat my little world with respect, you are more than welcome to come & collect a sellection you'd like,( if you tell me how).
Come along empty with 10 empty letters & the choices are, many orange & pink cosmos, some pink & purple roses, a few black tulips & a couple of blue pansies.I also have all fruit & coconuts if needed.
Since you're just giving them away, I would think that either the AC:WW Trading board or the AC:WW WiFi Lobby would be fine to post such a thread in. I'd probably go with the former, myself.

Thank you Nintendude64 for your advice, now I know where to post, how do I go about it? Do I have to rewrite it or is there a way of transfering it from here to there?
You just post a new thread on the particular board you are planning to post it on. If you go to the actual AC:WW Trading Board, you'll see a "Post New Topic" button, towards the top right of the board, in which you can create a new thread.
It's up to you if you wish to rewrite it or now. There's not a way to physically transfer it, but you can highlight the text you want and just copy and paste it for when you make the thread.

Where (or rather should) a thread about the Pokemon Dream Radar be posted? I expect this would go on the Video Games board, but would one of the 3DS or Pokemon stickies cover the subject? The game itself is an FPS with the ability to catch and transfer Pokemon from the Dream Radar to your copy of Black 2 or White 2.

Jade10145, do you mind specifying a bit more in detail what the thread will be about?
Dalek, I would think that you would be fine with creating your own thread for Pokémon Dream Radar. To me, even though it can transfer to Black & White 2, it is more of a spin-off, rather than one of the main games, which I think are the focus of two of the Pokémon stickies. I don't think it would do any real harm if you were to discuss the game in the First through Fifth gen sticky either.

As in an inquiry itself on where the Interior Design threads went?
[Don't hold me on this though, if I'm right on your question, it would technically be Site Support, although there may not be a solid answer simply because any Interior Design service just.. went out of business.]
