Anyway, it kinda eventually pays itself off, but you have to NOT run away from bees for about a month (or a week or two if you do the on/off thing with your game constantly), and not catch more than one so it will fully pay itself off. And after that, if you feel like shaking trees and taking the sting, you get 100-400 bells each day... which is easier to do just picking up a couple of seashells each day, honestly. So the bees might be barely worth it, but not in my mind.
I've never had counterfeit paintings the last few times I've played, surprise surprise, but if you get reimbursed, they have to somehow be worth more than the 6000 bells you've spent. If it takes too long, I wouldn't advise it, though. Signature--------------
