Hi! I joined this website back in 2005. My original account is Meland but I can't access it because I no longer have access to the Yahoo! account I used to make the ACC account (I forgot my password and the new one was sent to the Yahoo! account I can't access.). I decided I may become active on this site again for the nostalgic value. I love Animal Crossing and have since I was a teen. But I really don't want to start over. Is there a way to get access to my Meland account without my Yahoo! account? Thank you.

Is it just me that finds it fishy that he waited a few months to post this after making the second account?

anyways, seeing this reminds me of something I think should be done. As we get threads like this on the site support quite often (not for the same reasons, but along the lines of 'i/"my sister/'doughter' (my personal favorite)/etc" cant get on my/etc account', I think a small section should be added to the TOS (and possibly bolded) stating that users who can't access their previous account should contact acc via the support email, rather than making a new account (as that is against the rules).

It's quite obvious that people in this situation are not going to read through the rules or even care if making multiple accounts is against the rules, so if that was put in maybe it would make this happen less often.

Maybe I should be putting this on the site suggestions thread or something, idk, but I thought that since its something small I'd bring it up here.

I'm an honest person who just wants his account back. The reason I waited after I made this account was because of some cookie error when trying to sign up as 'Meland2'. Last Friday, I spent the night at my friend's house after watching the midnight release of 'Dark Knight Rises' and decided to log in with his computer and it worked. I reset the password on this account, memorized it and finally logged in yesterday after YouTube(ing) some Animal Crossing music. I just want my original account back.
