Well look no further! 8D Here at ElizabethPrower's Fanfic Competition-Boot Camp-Thing, we're going to teach you how to improve your writing skills and turn those no's into yes's! You'll have a mentor with you every step of the way as you watch your writing transform from average (or even sucky) mush into a work of art, right before your eyes! :o

And now for the musical portion of our advertisement!

-Upbeat, Broadway-esque music starts playing, and Liv909 and Hammer_Kirby step out wearing pink, glittery cocktail dresses and matching top hats. Big smiles are plastered on both of their faces as they start singing.-

Liv: I once was a noob that didn't double space
All of my readers posted the pukey face.

EP: -pops out of nowhere- Blech!

Liv: No one read so I had to lock the story
I started a new one and they all yelled BORING.

-Liv prances around the stage tap-dancing while HK sings-

HK: On my own I had to battle.
Learn how to describe and foreshadow

EP: Whatever that is!

HK: I thought my writing was getting good
But mistakes still lied under the hood

Liv: I tried to enter Computerfan's Competition, but sadly so,
The judges took one look at my work and cried 'Oh God no!'
Computerfan consoled me, barely keeping a straight face
That went worse than for that guy named Jace

-HK quickly pouts, before twirling and performing jazz hands-

HK: But wait!

EP and Liv: Gasp!

HK: There's still a chance!

Liv: Learn how to describe a lamp
In one whole paragraph
And how to make others laugh

EP and HK: Laugh!

Liv: And cry,

HK: And how to conviently make a protagonist die

HK: Or it can be an antagonist

Liv: It doesn't really matter; just please don't go bagging this.

-Liv and HK pull out canes and toss them in the air, before catching them gracefully while the music continues. They're bouncing all over the stage, using moves such as the dos-i-do, the fist pump- and the funky chicken. They link arms to perform a kick-line when EP thwacks both of them with a spatula, knocking them out. The music stops and EP tosses the spatula behind her.-

Hi, I'm ElizabethPrower. You probably know me from my fanfic, 'Life and Times at Nintendo High'. I've been a member of ACC for five years now and have written numerous fanfics. From writing my first fanfic to placing in the Top 10 of both Dougieowner's and Computerfan's fanfic competitions, my writing has made improvements you wouldn't believe. Now I'm here to help other aspiring fanfic writers do the same, and that's what this competition is all about.

Here's how it works: Once everyone's signed up, you will be asked to complete a basic challenge determined by myself and the mentors to show off your writing abilities. After the mentors look over your work and pick their teams, you will begin a 2-3 month long boot camp where your mentor will cover different writing aspects (and present challenges to you based on what they taught you) from week to week. Each week, one person from each team will be eliminated until each mentor is left with one team member. Those final two writers will represent their mentor and face off in one final challenge where they will write a short story for a panel of popular authors on ACC to critique. The panel will deliberate and choose the winning writer and mentor.

How to enter: If you're a fanfic writer who's struggling to find success on the board or just looking to improve their skills, and you're interested in entering (no professionals please - sorry BuZZyReCKy, that means you), then send me a PT with the following form:

Well... I enterlasting the competition before this year's and didn't get rejected, but I didn't make it far because of the lack of updates. I'm terrible about that, so I think I'll do this just for the one-a-day aspect Sounds interesting!

Anyways, when is this competition expected to start? If this runs through September, I probably won't be able to spend a whole lot of time working on the exercises because of school and homework.

Wow! :o I just looked over my PTs, and so far we have eight recruits! That's enough to fill one of two teams! 8D Thanks so much, everyone! We're off to a great start!

I'm planning to start when I get my desired number of recruits (16 - 8 on each team), so I'll probably leave sign-ups open for another few weeks. I'd love to start by July, but it depends on how many more entries I get. If any of you know someone who could use some help with their writing, sending them my way will be appreciated and speed up the sign-up stage.

I'm a writer around the boards too. Hammer_Kirby (H_K), ElizabethPrower (EP) and I all want to help you get better! I heard there are around 10 entrants right now. So far, I would like to thank everyone for watching and joining too. You won't regret joining the boot camp because you'll all become better writers. =)

I'm excited to help you guys. Even though I don't want to be a teacher when I grow up, I've always wanted to be like a teacher. Trust me, I'll be the cool substitute you guys get when the cranky teacher's sick.

In other words, I'm just as excited, and even though I'm fairly new to this whole writing and judging shindig chandelier, I'm hoping I'll help some of you spiral up into the sky as beautiful but actually pretty strong writers, with thorns against those who just bash and leave with no basis whatsoever and keyboards as petals. Oh, and I expect computer mouses to be dangling from your flowery ears.

Nice to meet you guys! Some of you are old friends/acquaintances. Some of you are new friends. No matter how long we've known each other, the boot camp will be a very exciting experience!

And what's going to happen is, before you get assigned to teams, you'll have to complete an initial challenge.
