While we've still heard no official release date for the 3DS installment of Animal Crossing, various retailers continue to post their own release dates.  The latest is Amazon France, which shows the game releasing on Sep. 28, about 6 months away.

Keep in mind, though, that until Nintendo itself announces an official release date, everything else is speculation.  But this wouldn't be unreasonable based on the progress we've seen, and that Nintendo has hinted that the game would be ready for 2012.
