A couple weeks ago, Nintendo announced that they will be dropping the price of the 3DS on Aug. 12 to $170. In addition, they also announced that current owners prior to Aug. 12 will receive 10 NES games and 10 GBA games via their Virtual Console store, which they have named their Ambassador Program.
Yesterday, Walmart started selling Nintendo 3DS systems for $170, effectively giving people the opportunity to get a 3DS with the price drop and the 20 Ambassador Program games.
If you currently don't have a 3DS, today or tomorrow would be the perfect time to get one. If you wait until Friday (Aug. 12), you will be able to get it at the reduced price, but will no longer be eligible for the 20 Ambassador Program games.
Below is a picture I took last night at a local Walmart.
