I like Aden too, but if I'm changing Sonia's name back it would feel weird not to do the same with Azel's. xD That and like I said, the name grew on me. owo
The only difference between the versions is that the graphics are supposedly better in the PS3 version. It sounds like that's the one you want, anyway, so I'd just get that one. xD

I'm gonna get the PS3 version because I don't have a Wii anymore. I gotta save up my money before this comes out because I spent all of it on a PS3, Legend of Mana, Eternal Sonata and a preorder of Disgaea 4

I'm getting the wii version as I have no PS3. XP I might use both sets of names, one set for one game, one for the other. Depends on how many save files we can have.

^You're lucky. I always try to get my mom and dad to play, but whenever I make a file for them, I'm like, "Who do you want to marry?" And they're like, "Honey, your mother of course.", or "I'm already married to your father!" Then I give them a -_- face.
Flowne: You can just copy data right before the final boss battle, and have one file be the boy and the other be your girl file. You can neglect the boy file after that. Just make sure you name your Sonias differently!
Nobody else in my family is interested in that kind of game. My mom's always playing Farmville, my dad always plays Burnout Paradise and Peggle and my brother is always on his computer. I always play RPGs, mostly Japanese ones.

Oh, yeah... That would definitely make it easier for me to get them started. And my mom always calls herself either Sharon or Aaron, so I don't have to worry too much about that, lol.
My mom is the reason I got into gaming. She had an old atari when I was a baby. Before it short circuited, I used to play a lot of Frogger.
She helped me start up a saving bank to get a SNES of my very own. I thought I'd never get it, but then one day, I come home from school, and there's the system and Super Mario World laying on my bed. <3
Come to think of it, that's what started my obsession with Nintendo stuff altogether!!!

I think it is funny that Micah would be cheating on whoever he married by twirling around in Shara's arms. But other than that I don't think it was to funny....

Out of all the themes, Frontier has the best. The Sweetest Time is just so friggin' awesome! And thanks to that being the theme for the game, I've listened to a lot more songs made by the same guy, Takeshi Nakatsuka. He makes amazing songs. I downloaded the CD that The Sweetest Time is on. Thank you so much, Rune Factory, for bringing me this awesome musician!
"Is rune factory a good game? I play harvest moon and I was thinking of getting a rune factory game, but I'm not sure which one. Help me pick!"
Happy Birthday! Yes, Rune Factory is awesome. My favorites are Rune Factory 2 & 3, but I don't think you can go wrong with buying any of them. They're a lot of fun to play.

I love Frontier. If you have a Wii and can handle the annoying-as-heck Runey system, get it. It's my favorite RF game and would be perfect if it weren't for the Runey system.

The Birthday Girl: Rune Factory is exremely fun, and it's also very simple, fighting wise. I typically hate fighting games, especially if they have a bunch of button combos, but this game is easy to fight in. =D
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
Rune Factory 2, 3, and Frontier are great. The original's fun, too, but gets boring quick. =D

Oh, I think the original is great in a few areas. I mean, I run out of things to do during the day because the bathhouse opens in the afternoon, but I absolutely love that it has so many dungeons. All the different dungeons mean that the difficulty curve is more gradual, as opposed to in 3 and Frontier (never played 2; can't find it anywhere). Granted, Frontier's dungeons are longer, but still. It's nice to have a change of scenery every now and again when you're stuck grinding because the enemies at the end (let alone the boss) take one swipe at you and you fall down deader than a doorknob. Speaking of bosses, I kind of like boss fights because they aren't your standard enemies. They have their patterns and own attacks and you have to figure out a way to beat them without dying yourself, as opposed with regular enemies to just running in there, swinging your sword/axe/hammer/lance/watering can/what have you. 3 tries to fix the number of dungeons and bosses it has with the option dungeons in the tree and the island in the forest that spawns bosses from the previous games, but all of it is simply optional. I simply love it when games have many, many short dungeons as opposed to just a handful of long ones. This is why I love 1. However, as far as gameplay elements go, 3 is so far the best, but Frontier is good too. Once again, I cannot speak about 2 for I haven't played it. But in 3 and Frontier I manage to actually use the entire day everyday as opposed to just watering and harvest and sowing and then brushing the monsters and then tackling the newest dungeon I unlocked until I'm almost dead. And since I'm almost dead, I can't really do anything else, but the baths aren't open because it's only noon so I can't do anything else. Might as well go to bed.[/rant thing]
I will admit that I do like the fact that there's more dungeons on the original game than there is on the rest, but it's still rather monotonous after the first year.
One point being the fact that you can only upgrade your house once and that immediately installs the blacksmith area and the pharmacy.
It's also difficult to find the exact items you need on that game, sometimes repeatedly going into a dungeon for several days at a time just fighting the same monster over and over and over until you find that one item that you need in the game.
I do tend to, after completing the main game, start purchasing lots of greenifier and rarer plants in order to try and reach level 100 with every crop, but it's still rather boring and you still end up having waaaaaaaay too much money, unlike the other games which seem to have you spending money all the time. Phew! Breathing time... ok, done.
RF2 does allow you to fight the original bosses, too after you defeat the fire dragon in the game. I won't go into much detail, but there is another set of big fights to go through. There's also the fact that there's tons of stuff to buy and do in the game.
That game doesn't have that many dungeons either, but over time, more parts of the dungeon become available to your character. Not only that, other members of the town get married and have kids, too.
So in one way, yes RF1 is a good game, but when it comes to wanting to keep on playing after the main game... meh, not so much. Even if you can marry Lynette later on, it's still rather tedious and you end up being way too rich too quickly.

It's rather easy to become rich in any of the games, really. Just keep planting quick-growing regenerating Spring crops in the dungeons and raise their levels et voilà! Lots of money.
Strawberries and pineapples. Right there. XD But there's not nearly as much to spend it on in the original. I like having a reason to keep spending my money. XP

I've only played Rune Factory 3 and I gotta say it's probably one of the most fun games I've played since I got Minecraft last October. The dialogue is hilarious and the whole game just...fits! Without ruining the HM-ey feel aswell.
I'm afraid to get the other RF games now because I feel the dialogue and characters won't be as funny as this one, and then I'll be dissapointed. xD
