I'm excited to announce that ACC has officially kicked off "ACC: Project Reboot"!  This project is an initiative we, the staff, are taking to make some drastic changes on ACC.  

For starters, the SIC no longer exists.  I personally have failed at allowing this team to prosper into what it originally was designed to do -- help bring change to ACC.  They served the best they could in trying to gather feedback from you guys, only to let the ideas pile up and collect dust.

Thanks to a willing group of volunteers, we hope to change that!

Please welcome, the R&D team -- the Researchers and the Developers, and the Liaisons!

Researchers
This team will be similar to the late SIC team, but they will have a more direct purpose.  They will continue gathering feedback, but will be working closely with the developers to actually bring these ideas to fruition.

Liaisons
Lastly, I would like to welcome another group, known as Liaisons.  These moderators will be working closely with their perspective groups, and will oversee the gathering of ideas, and will prioritize those based on how important they are to you, and how long it will take the development team to implement.  They will work closely with the Researchers, too, so that the features are well thought out and defined before handing off to the Developers.

This is only the beginning too.  But please continue to be patient -- we have a lot of changes that have been waiting a while, so it may take a while to figure out which ones to take on first.  Also, realize that the Developers have a huge task to undertake -- understanding a ginormous, almost 10-year-old code base.  So while we're excited that these changes are in motion, it may take some time before you start seeing drastic changes.

But we are at least to the point that we can start making these changes.  And your Liaisons and Researchers will start working with the rest of you to figure out where to go from here.
