This is my town, Roseway. How many rarity points does it have?! Thanks Oh, and if you can't see what the waterfall is by looking on the map, [link=http://s1180.photobucket.com/albums/x420/jemcat99/?action=view¤t=RUU_0844-1.jpg#!oZZ3QQcurrentZZhttp%3A%2F%2Fs1180.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fx420%2Fjemcat99%2F%3Faction%3Dview%26current%3DRUU_0843.jpg]click here to see it real.

Yeah my map is pretty much flipped over because my able sisters is on the right side also, right where yours is but some of the other buildings are different
It can be a bit confusing. But it's easier to see a bay when looking at a map. Here's Starflash's map from page one. You can see both Bays right where the river meets the ocean. The one on the right has a beach, the one on the left has no beach.
Kaminari, it's not possible to get your house next to a horizontal waterfall without hacking. You might get one close by, but not right next to the falls.
I've came upon a town with a house about 3 tiles apart from the horizontal waterfall; very interesting town, had a nice island shape too but not what I was looking for. Don't give up though, & good luck! (:
Hey Zach, I have a new land formation you might want to consider adding to the canyon category. I have one in my new town, but didn't think too much of it until I started investigating other maps.
I'm referring to it as the 'Grand Canyon'. Like the regular and reverse canyon, the grand canyon is 2 acres long with cliff walls on both sides. But unlike the first two canyons, the grand canyon is about 1 acre wide.
A one acre wide canyon is actually seen quite often alongside the cliff on the far west side of town. The major difference is that the grand canyon is placed out into the map and has navigable cliffs on both sides, not just one. Another similar land formation commonly seen is this 'partial canyon'. But again, it differs from the grand canyon in that only one of it's cliff walls is the required two acres. A true 'grand canyon' seems to be quite rare, probably up there with the reverse canyon. Here's a few more examples of a true grand canyon found on Regina's map database - 1 and 2.
Couple of questions- How can you have multiple towns? Is there anything you can do to get a nifty layout, or is it always random? How can I get a pic of my town online, or do I just take a picture with my camera?
EDIT: Checked my town- I have 7 pts. Straight waterfall- 1 S.E. Inside Corner Normal Ramp Ramp- 1 S.W. Extra-wide ramp- 2 Reverse Canyon- 1 Island- 2
