I'm in the same boat as lishygoo here. My parents will not let me use any form of online transactions. It gets really annoying now because the world's going into an online world with a lot of the game shop thingies (Steam) being online, and me being unable to use them due to unresponsive parenting. D:

The only reason I have Portal was due to the free Mac weekend and the only reason I have Team Fortress 2 is because it was gifted to me. >_< (And Portal 2 is available on CD, so I can get that anyway )

Emote customization would be kinda...crazy, IMO. I'm not even sure it it'd be possible to code.

Well, not everyone has the amazing spriting skills of Titan or Hoggle. Besides, with so many members, a whole lot of people would have to wait awhile. And think about the other stuff the mods should be doing. It would be very hard for them to even seem like part of this community. You don't see most of them around much, so imagine what it would be like if there were constantly new emotes coming in that they also had to approve.

Customizable emotes could be customizable in other ways. For example, editing the hats and stuff like that.

Also, I don't mean to offend anyone who made the emotes, but they're kind of oddly done. The faces are octagonal and there's no shading. >_< Plus, the horns on the male emotes don't really blend well with the style.

The fact that they go well into .GIFs is pretty neat, though.

Customisable emotes would most likely be out of the list. One, because it'd be a too hard to code system. Two, because it'd be a too hard to moderate system. Or if it gets done in an easily way to moderate way, it would be time-consuming to keep the moderators checking all the newly-uploaded avatars constantly. And three, because special emotes should be kept only for the staff people. It's one of the ways for ACC to say "thank-you" to the staff, something that distinguishes them from other people in ACC, and should be kept in that way.

Having everyone use the avatar they'd like (from any selection) would beat the purpose of having the current avatars set up.

Why not make your emotes, and then you can use it on your birthday or something like that
