Posted: 10/1/2010 5:41pm The books are all about different things, but the main character is almost always a young teenage girl (with an exception of Lucky Star, which is based around a teenage boy, but that will make more sense in a sec). I'll run you through the basics of them in chronological order of release =)
Dizzy- Dizzy is a girl who's mum left when she was little and has only sent a card or present on her birthday. One day her mum shows up and she gets whisked away on a wild summer of festivals and romance with a boy called Finn. Her mum's new husbands son, mouse, gets in a lot of trouble.
Indigo Blue- Indie's mum leaves her partner, and Indie, her mum and her little sister Misty end up with practically no money in a basement apartment. It's a little depressing, but a moving story.
Driftwood - Hannah and Joey are two girls that are best friends, Joey is a little strange and is adopted, Hannah is very normal. When Joey gets a new foster brother, everything gets a little weird as Hannah falls in love with him, and Joey falls in love with Hannah's brother. On top of all that the new guy gets in some serious problems with bullies.
Scarlett - Scarlett's mum gets fed up with her bad behaviour and packs her off to live with her dad and his new family in ireland. She meets a mysterious boy called Kian and gets in lots of problems with her new family.
Sundae Girl - Jude has a super-embarrasing family, and when Kevin decides he wants her to be his girlfriend, she does all she can to avoid him finding out about her crazy family.
Lucky Star (my favourite!!) - This is a spin-off/sequel to Dizzy. It continues the story of Mouse now he is a teenage boy. He now lives with his mum on a rough council estate and is trying his best to stay out of trouble. Then he meets a mysterious girl called Cat, who is trying her best to land herself IN trouble.
Gingersnaps- Ginger and Shannon are best friends, but when Shannon decides to make nerdy girl Emily their new project, things start to change. Especially when you throw in an attractive saxaphone-playing boy!
Angel Cake- Anya is Polish and immigrates to England with her family with the promise of a roses-round-the-door cottage and traditional school, but gets a nasty shock when her family looses all their money and they end up living in a damp flat above a fish and chip shop in Liverpool.
All of them have issues of family, friendship and romance and are aimed at tweens and young teenagers. I'm 15 and I've outgrown them now =(
