okay, i have had nooks cranny for like two weeks, my bros town upgraded in one week. how come mine wont get better? im so sad

You have to buy a lot of items in the store. After that it should upgrade. If it becomes Nookway it will require a visitor to visit your town. (Via memory card or town sharing, PT sunmarsh for details on sharing GC towns.)

Keep buying and you'll get thereto Nookway.

To get Nookingotn's,you must have a spare Memory Card and make an account on it and have your brother,also known as the other villager,visit that town and buy from the Nookway.

so all i have to do is buy a lot of items from nook? how much do i have to spend there, like, 10,000$? im so pooooor

Atleast,somewhat near 50,000 and below. There is a code for getting alot of Bells but you have to trade for them.

getting bells isn't that hard.. Sell fossils, bugs and fish.. Shake the trees for 100 bells (warning bees may attack you) + furniture occasionally comes out of the trees.. hit the red rock with a shovel (random normal looking rock)... There's alot of ways to get bells...

Mine upgraded after 2 days (so on day 3 of my town it was upgrading) and I only bought tools, an outfit and some flowers I think. What I did most was pay my dept off and I was half way to finishing my second when he started upgrading. So I recommend you get a rod and/or net and catch some stuff to sell and pay your dept off. I like fishing best because the fish in the sea sell for much more than bugs. Like others have already pointed out, there are lots of other ways to earn bells, but those that I have named are my favorite ways to do so.
