I was just wondering, because I gave her 10k and didn't get a unique shirt.

I'm not exactly sure but I think 20k or 1,000. Check out the Gracie Guide too.

How Ironic! I just posted this in my FAQ about turnips! She should have given you a unique shirt but I think this was the problem (underlined part) If you read along you can fix it so next time you run into her she gives you a shirt. Hope I helped!

"Time Traveling Consequences
Now time traveling is a wonderful thing when it comes to turnips (check the turnip prices for morning and afternoon, going to Sunday to buy your turnips in the first place) but unless you do it right, you'll have to deal with consequences that will not only ruin the Turnip Trading experience, but many other things in the game as well!

Consequences
.Gracie is less likely to give you an original Gracie design when you give her bells
.Glitch with Lazy Neighbors where they say they gave you there picture but didn't
.Joan won't sell Red Turnips
.Joan will only sell turnips for more that 96 bells
.Nook will only buy turnips for under 96 bells

So by time traveling the wrong way your turnip trading will NEVER work out. Joan won't sell you red turnips in order to use those and with Joan selling higher than Nook will ever buy you'll never be able to make a profit off of the turnips you buy.

This is caused by the DS Clock (The time and date your system registers) and the Animal Crossing clock (The one controlled by the telephone when you start the game) not matching. The time and date must match or else you will experience all of these problems.

However this can be solved quite easily. Check the time and date that you DS clock has registered and use the Animal Crossing phone to time travel to the date and time of your DS clock. You cannot change the DS clock to match the Animal Crossing clock because the difference in time and days will stay the same. Once these two clocks are synchronized in about a week these problems will disappear so Time Traveling consequences are NOT permanent.

This doesn't mean you can never Time Travel again, it simply means you must do it the right way or else the problems will return. When you Time Travel turn the DS off and change the DS clock to the date or time you want to go to. DO NOT use the Telephone in the attic. It will cause the problems to return and you will need to re-sync the clocks together again."

Whoa, I didn't know that it was a consequence of time traveling - thanks for the info!

(By the way, I'd like to read your guide on turnips; I just decided to  stop TTing for a bit, and to make some more Bells through turnips.)

No problem! I always knew there where consequences but wasn't sure about how to fix them. I'm so happy I found that guide! At first I thought the consequences where permanent and I almost restarted my town

Oh yeah! You should check it out! You can make some serious bells off of turnips
