I've been waiting for this weekend so I could put my regal clock in the auction. Yesterday morning I signed on and went to do so and was told by the gyroid there are no spots left so I have to wait until Sept. 4. I don't understand because there is not a single item showing up in my auction house.

That's funny, you should see stuff that people on your friends list are displaying

I still wonder how this auction house works ; I've used it and seen the occasional item put up for display by a friend, but what happens if you have a long friends list, who in turn also have long friends lists and everybody puts up an item ??

I have never figured out the auction house either...I put up an item once and no one bid on it.  There must be some way to have fun with it!

If I can connect, I'll be glad to give you the clock for free. I've been having issues with Nintendo wifi. I still get my connect24 mail but apparently some of their servers have been off and on since the middle of last week.

Maybe when I get home this evening I'll be able to see some stuff in the auction house. I hope so.

I don't need the bells, I just wanted to put the clock up for fun. I think it's a rare item because I  haven't seen it before so I thought people would like to see something different up.

The weekend that you are putting up items for display, you only see the items you put up ... you don't see the items other people put up until after the weekend is over.

At least that is how it was the 2 times I've ever remembered to actually use it.

I wish there was ... it's a nice feature and I've used it a couple of times, but the restricted display and bidding periods make it too complicated.
You should be able to just put something up when you feel like it, not every 4 weeks or so.

Got on yesterday and still couldn't see anyone's stuff. I never got to put anything up because gyroid said it was full. I tried to bid (on invisible items) but then gyroid decided there was nothing to bid on.

The auction house is a mess...

Are you playing in real-time ?? What I mean is ; is your Wii also on August 31 ??
I think I've read that if players' Wii's are on different dates, the Auction House has problems ...

I guess that after the Summer holidays a number of players is not up-to-date yet.  I'm more than a month behind so my Wii/AC:CF is somewhere in July.

Yep, real time ... to the minute! I never time travel either.

I really wish Nintendo would have done a better job with the auction house. It's a very cool feature that would be lots of fun if people could actually use it. All those empty platforms in there and I have never seen more than one item at a time ... on the same exact platform. And I know my friends have had other things up for auction.

Try going to the auction house next weekend & see if anything is on display ... the bidding period shouldn't start until next weekend if the display period was this weekend.

Maybe you'll see something then ... I've had things in my auction house before but like I said I've only managed to make it there like twice during an auction because I never go to the city.

Rex, you may have just cleared things up for me!!! I didn't realize there is a bidding period and a display period. Maybe gyroid is telling me I have to wait to bid until next weekend... I will have to double check.

I was looking to display things also - but can't until the 4th.  I think the week after that is bidding - but I'm not sure.  I think Rex got it right.

I love the auction house - when it works and lots of people put things up.

I guess I read faster than my brain can process what it's saying.

Now I have no idea if it was a bidding period or a display period but I will get this straightened out now that I realize there are two different things gyroid is saying to me.

I still think the auction house could have been made alot more user friendly.

I just came from visiting the city & the gyroid said the display period begins tomorrow @ 6am ... there were 2 items in there but they were from the last auction ... I will try to remember to put some items up this weekend.

By the way, Tallis ... I saw your gates open & was going to visit but it looks like you may be having Nintendo wifi problems also?
