Hello there! After a lot of hard work and help from other ACC users, I’ve finally finished this guide. Villagers play a big role in the game (after all, it’s Animal Crossing! ) and their houses are always there. This guide provides picture of every style of house, every roof color, and every extra feature, so you can know what to look for. To view a photo, simply click on the titles of house styles. (WARNING: Pictures will open in your current tab!)
So anyway, Thank you so much for viewing!

Part One: OK, what are Villager House Styles? Glad you asked! Surely you’ve noticed your villager’s houses (If not, something is terribly wrong…), and if you’re observant, maybe you noticed that your town has two overall styles. ‘Style’ pretty much means what it’s made of, like stone or logs, or what theme it follows, such as a barn house or a cabana house. Anyway, let's get down to business!

Part Two: The Styles Themselves
Stone House These adorable cottages are crafted of stone. They feature gently worn blue doors. Available in all regions.
Barn House Barn houses have a country charm, very appropriate for AC:CF. Available in all regions.
Planked House Plank houses have a tropical feel, especially if they feature a dome. Available in all regions.
Pink Cabana House These houses are made of wood, and features pink trim around the window and a cotton-candy pink door. Available in North America.
Colored Cabana HousePhoto by emilywh This house, as well, has an airy, tropical look. Diagonal colorful planks create a sunburst pattern. Available in North America.
Log CabinPhoto Provided by laineybop, taken by unknown. Who doesn't love the cozy, classic look of a log cabin? Available in Europe.
Brick House Photo Provided by laineybop, taken by unknown. Brick houses are classic and charming. Available in Europe.
PagodaPhoto Provided by laineybop, taken by unknown. It isn't hard to imagine where these are available... Available in Japan.
Wood HousePhoto Provided by laineybop, taken by unknown. These homes are relaxed yet refined, cozy, yet roomy. Available in Japan.
OK, you might be wondering “If each region has its own house styles, what about Korea?” The answer? I have no idea. If you find any houses not seen on this guide in a Korean town, please send me a PT.

Part Three: RoofsAll Photos Provided by laineybop, taken by unknown One very interesting thing about houses are the roofs. Since I got the game in December, when the snow melted, I was delighted with the colorful thatched roofs.
I didnt notice there were different house styles o: My villagers usually just have the stone house, or the cabana house. I dont recognize the other ones.

I'm glad to see a guide to the villager houses finally stickied! There was a good one awhile back on the Grown up board, but it was never stickied and disappeared.
Anyway, great job getting the guide put together and stickied. The one thing I see missing under roof color is Yellow. Currently, my villager Rod has a yellow roof, you can see it on the right.
Other things I've noticed are the 3 possible window configurations - square, rectangular, or no front window at all (the window on this style house can be found on the side instead).
And in addition to the roof colors, there seem to be 5 distinct roof styles and 3 distinct fence styles (which can come in different colors as well).
Add all these variables together, and there's a lot of different possibilities in the appearance of the villager's homes.
Yeah, I was going to include the fences and roof/window styles, but I began to wonder if it was really neccasary... sort of overkill, y'know? and about the yellow roofs... I just facepalmed myself. xD I have soooo many yellow roofs in my town, how could I forget! Thank you!

Panda_14616- I don' think so. It seems like if it did, ye old gate would give barn houses, castle gate would give stone houses, and palace gate would give Pink Cabana houses since they sort of match. In my old town, I had a palace gate and stone/planked houses, and in my current town I have a castle gate and Barn/Pink Cabana houses. I'd say no.
Once I made a guide like this, but the staff never stickied it. D: Anyway, good job on this guide! I might start working on one of some sort. Oh, and I have the Barn and Planked styles in Dennis. My two favories!
Does each villager live in their own specific type of house? Or does it vary based upon town to town? And does each signpost in your town have the same type of house for every villager that lives there?

Does each villager live in their own specific type of house?
The villagers always have a certain shape for their house, and they always have texture style 1 or 2 and certain roof colour. For example, if your town has both cabana houses, a villager like Bob will have a pink house with round and brown roof. If you have the pink and barn houses, he would use the barn texture.
"The villagers always have a certain shape for their house, and they always have texture style 1 or 2 and certain roof colour."
@ Euro, this does seem to be true. But I think roof color is dependent upon what roof colors are available in your town. In my experience only two of the roof colors seem to be available for each house style in any particular town.
For example, in my current town I have the pink Cabana and Barn style houses. Bob does have the Barn style with Dome roof, but it's teal not brown, because the Barn style roofs in this town only come in teal or green. In my previous town, on the other hand, the Barn style roofs were always green or yellow. So roof color does seem to be town dependent.
Another good example would be Biskit, who I've had in both my towns. In my first town which had Plank and Barn style houses, Biskit had the Barn style. In my current town with the Cabana and Barn style, Biskit has the Cabana style. But in both cases, the shape of the house is the same - rectangular window with the two peaks.
