I just saw a story on my TV saying that Justin Beiber could be the new Michael Jackson. What do you think? Could Justin Beiber be the next Michael Jackson?

Over time he created many popular dance moves, and became known for his dancing skills along with his amazing singing voice. Thriller is to this day the best selling album in history. He created several other albums, which created more dance moves, music videos, and helped solidify his place as the King of Pop. He made several songs that generated tons of money for charity, along with creating songs to increase awareness for many big world issues. To this day, he is considered one of the best entertainers in history.

Justin Bieber is a young boy who uses a lot of voice editing on his albums and lip syncs on stage and has no dance skills. His songs are all about the exact same topic and he has shown no real talent since he broke into the main stream. He only has fans because of his looks.

@thelonehuman Bravo!!! That explains it all. I could not have said it better myself. People love MJ not just for his music but for what he did for the world. People(or should I say little 13 year old girls) like Justin because they think he's cute, that's no reason to like an artist. There's no comparisson really. Michael Jackson is better, WAY better than ANY artist will ever be and that's that.

It's okay, it's just a bit stereotypical that 13-year-old girls tend to obsess over singers because of how they look. While I cant argue that some singers look good, I mostly judge music over looks, and Michael Jackson is much better than Justin Bieber.

That's like comparing Leonardo da Vinci, an absolute genius, to a 4 year old who still doodles.    

He is in NO WAY similar to Michael Jackson.  First off, Justin Bieber is totally immature and annoying (Try reading his tweets for instance ).  Michael was humble and mature.  thelonehuman pretty much summed up the rest:  Michael Jackson was revolutionary and a genius.  Bieber is not.  At all.

I don't think so. I'm not a big fan of MJ, and I'm not a big fan of JB, but Bieber's music won't stand the test of time like Michael Jackson's does.

I have nothing against Justin Bieber, and his music isn't bad, but he's just going to be a forgotten part of the past in a few years when the novelty wears off.
It's not that he's bad at singing, but if he were really ugly, no-one would care. It's his image and everything all together that mostly sells the music, imo, not any particular amazing talent.
