Great guide!  I think I have heard his ship but I've never seen it...but I was looking in the wrong area, I was looking near the beach.  Next time I'll look to the middle to north parts of town...

I have seen Gulliver 2 times in one week. I saw him one day and then the next day I saw him
again...maybe I just had the date wrong but I am pretty sure it was right.

But otherwise great guide

This happened to me on WW
i saw gulliver and had a shovel out. I tried to change tools but when i did i ran after him and he went over the cliff blocking the black hole area...
my first time finding him 2 D:

I didn't know I was supposed to get out my slingshot

I've only seen his ship once...I can't remember why I misse him...ether I did'nt aim very well, or I was to slow to catch him...OR BOTH!!!

I was gardening when I saw him. My pcokets were full and my sling shot in a letter! I finally got it out and ran and shot at him and missed

After nearly two years of playing, I got my first glimpse of him today. I just saw him in the top of the screen, started to run in his direction whilst trying to get my slingshot out, stumbling about, by the time I got up to him, he was just going off the right of the town. I was so bummed out.
I hadn't read any guides, so didn't know that he would come back for a second time, like this says, so didn't bother. Now I think I have missed him, but at least I know to keep a look out possibly the rest of the week.

I still haven't seen him!  I need to start carrying my slingshot with me.

@BowserBasher: I'm afraid that Gulliver won't show up again this week. When Gulliver flies over he does so twice in a row so if you didn't spot him directly after your first sighting then you've missed your chance for to shoot him down this week. It's also a possibility that you spotted him during his second pass over.

If there was something in my guide to make you think he would fly over again this week then please let me know so I can clarify it for others.

Do you hear any noise when he is flying over?

I probably read that on some other not so reliable page. I thought I read someone saw him the next day. Oh well, another week it is.

@Peggy69 Yes, the noise that you hear is just like in AC:WW when he flies over. If you click here then you can hear and see Gulliver's ship. Keep in mind that the video I've linked is a spoiler and may take some of the fun out of spotting Gulliver yourself.

Back at the end of June, I had my first successful shoot-down of Gulliver on City Folk. I found Gulliver the next morning, handed over the spaceship part, and got a Mouth of Truth. I wanted a Metroid, plus, the Mouth was lamer than in the first game, so I reset. I came down to the beach to find Gulliver again, but...

To this day, I still have the spaceship part.

I just saw Gulliver my first time today. I walked out of Tom Nook's and was still for a bit, then at 9:02 I heard his ship. I was freaked out then I saw a shadow. I knew it was now Gulliver and I chased after him, stumbling to take out my slingshot. I got it out, and he was still flying. I shot, and missed.

And I only had the regular slingshot, my lucky brother got the silver one. I knew this was Gulliver's second flight because he never came back.

So, can he fly over your town as you are in a building? Because I just came out of Nook's when I saw it.

Nope, you don't ever had to worry about him flying over when you're not around or not outside. However, if he's passing over and you enter a building then you completely miss any chance at shooting him that day. I had this happen to me before. It can happen even when you don't know he's flying over too. Let's hope that for the next Animal Crossing game, Gulliver is more easily spotted. I think the odds of everything happening how the developers had hoped and you spotting his ship are MUCH smaller than in WW. Wild World was a nice balance for Gulliver. He was still rare and a challenge to shoot down, but it isn't so extremely difficult to see him flying over your town.

That's because WW was on the DS, which had two screens.

It's hard to see on a TV.

If you missed the day that Gulliver washed up on shore then I'm afraid there is no going back. You'll have to shoot him down again next time he flies over your town. The spaceship you had kept shouldn't have had any influence on his appearance.

Funniest bad luck I saw guliver ran after him fell in a pitfal trap soon after I found out that a scorpion was following me so I got stung and he got away, dang lol

Yes, as long as that means no Pete (postman) at 9am or 5pm either.

Edit: And of course this only applies to Mon-Thurs.

I dont get the times does he come through those times and only comes mon thu thurs

He will start his flight across your town at one of those times, and yes you can TT and still see him fly over.
