hi - i've noticed that there are a few threads regarding the pokemon games here. I was considering buying it tomorrow but first want to check to make sure that there are actually adults that i can exchange friend codes with (not really interested in playing with youngsters). Could people reply and let me know if this is the case??? It would be appreciated. Thanks

if you haven't bought one yet from diamond, pearl, & platinum, i would suggest platinum. it has all the stuff from the other 2, it'll save you some money.

If you havent got a pokemon game yet, then Id suggest you wait a bit longer & buy heart gold or soul silver, its going to be fantastic.  Ive got firered, diamond & platinum. With heartgold/soulsilver you also get a pokewalker which means more games plus your mon gains experience etc as you walk. Im pokemon obsessed at the grand old age of 43 & just been to my 1st ever pokemon event & downloaded arceus, the most powerful pokemon ever

Hey hey.  I'm getting my tax return within the week (hopefully), so I plan on going out and getting Soul Silver with it.  ^^

I might eventually get both the new Gold and Silver since you can use that little thing to transfer the data between them.

I don't think I would count at all as an older member (and I'm way behind in the games anyway), but I thought I'd post because I can say that there are many older members who do use the WiFi features of Pokemon that I know.

Pokemon has been around a long time already, the anime will be going on their 13th season here in US soon.  

That means Ash has been on the road for nearly 10 years. He should be 18 years old by now, but he's still this 12 year old kid I guess unlike other anime series the characters won't age.
There seems to be no real timeline in Pocket Monsters, since it may never end.

They just change his outfits to make him look a little older lol.  I guess as long as they keep coming up with their pokemon ideas it will keep going.  Looks like Power Rangers finally ran out of ideas for zords lol.  

I honestly think that if you get a game you should go with SoulSilver or HeartGold. I just liked regular silver and gold more so I'd personally prefer them.

They need to redo Pokemon Yellow
