ffyddie, absolutely not. That would be a very, very bad thing for you to include in your ACC fan fic if released on the ACC boards. It could serve to have your thread locked and some unwanted "mail" show up in your pt box. As Dougieowner stated, that breaks the Online Romance rule outlined for this site.

At the end of one of my stories, the main characters are making a promise, and the girl places her hand into the boy's palm, but its more of a friendly gesture. Its meant to be more like a pinky swear, which I would've done, except the Animal crossing people don't have pinkies. Would that be okay?
And I know this has been asked a lot, but are their allowed to be married parents, as long as the story is not about them?

Then change your "pinkie" swear into a "finger" or "paw" swear. And yes, there can be married couples in your fan fic. My current fan fic has, at least, 1 married couple. However, they aren't the main characters and turn out to be nothing more than a sub plot.

I was offering you a way to revise the pinky swear to something that the AC villagers could do. Either a single digit swear or a paw swear or something fun you create just for the occasion. But yes, based on what you said, Pirates2fan, a hand/paw shake is fine.

Well, I have one fan fic up and running right now, and planning of making a new one. Would it be against the rules to say on each thread, "Be sure to check out [insert fan fic name here], by me, too!" Would that be allowed, or not? It would only be mentioned once or twice at the end of a few chapters.

Since it is your own fan fic that you'd be advertising in your own thread, I don't think it would be problematic. Just don't make a continuous habit of doing it as it might be viewed as mass advertising.

It would be better to advertise your fanfic in your signature as a lot of it story posts could also be considered spamming - even in your own thread.
Seeing that you can do markup in your signature, did you realise that includes link markup? I'd advertise it there instead, that way in every post you make (not only the ones that are in your story) you'll be advertising your stories.
Well, pancettabuddy87, I would include AC characters and still keep it ACCish... ACC has AC avatars so you could include that. I'm not sure how you are planning on doing it. If you are planning on doing something like ManekiNeko's Hoggle Stole My Cookies, I would make the people their avatars. You might want to check with a mod, I was basing my answer on ManekiNeko's story.

You have to make sure there is enough of an AC feel to the story so that it isn't seen as an ACC story. ManekiNeko's Hoggle stories are the goal you want to aim for as they contain enough elements of the game to be OK on the FanFic Board.
Most of the ACC stories I've read don't use enough elements of the games for them to be on the FanFic board. If you have any doubt, you can always write your story in a PT & advertise it in your signature.

That's fine, Hadow. Many fan fic writers make up something similar and there isn't any problem. As RFZT stated, you just don't want to detail the effects too graphically. Sometimes less is best and allows your readers' to use their imaginations (which can sometimes be far worse than what you planned). But it works.
