As on all ACC boards the ACC Site Rules apply. In addition to those rules we feel it is necessary to add these:

• NO ROMANCE!! This is posted on the Forum Rules

• Only post fictional stories. If you want to talk about actual thing that happened to you on AC, please post on the AC Game Board.

• Make sure your stories are AC based. Other Fanfics are not allowed on ACC's FanFic Board. You may have these stories in PTs.

• Make sure your stories are posted on ACC. Posting links to Fanfics on other websites would be considered spam advertising.

• Only post in your own story. It is OK to post your comments in the thread, as long as they follow the ACC rules.

• No Co-authoring unless... You write it together in a PT and the same person always posts the stories in the public thread. This is to prevent all the random 'add on to my story' threads and RPGs.

• RPGs are STILL not allowed there has been some confusion in the past... this board is for stories only, not RPGs.

• Only advertise in your signature Please don't post an 'advertisement thread' or send out mass PTs to advertise your story, just post it in your signature; you can advertise in the proper FanFic Advertising sticky thread, located on the Stories/Fan Fiction Board.

• 2.7 Drawing Excessive and Unnecessary Attention - Please keep this rule in mind when creating thread titles. Using special characters in the title to draw attention to your thread is not permitted.

Just one question that I'm pretty sure has already been answered in the FAQ, can you post a fanfic non-ac related on the off-topic board? Or are all fanfics on ACC strictly AC based?

No. All fanfics that are not AC related should be done in PTs. You can advertise them in your signature & profile.

I think as long as that was as far as it went, you'd be OK in posting either of those, goatgirl27.

Personally, RFZT, I wouldn't bother doing it. I don't think you'd be breaking a rule, but without a reason for the reference, the idea would just seem like you're glorifying something that would smell or look gross. If you've got an idea in mind where it fits into the story and would have some sort of meaning, then I'd do it.

As Julia_9922 mentions, Londan55, a non-AC story on the public boards would be locked with a notification. I think it would probably fall into the Topics not Allowed area, but Spamming could work too. If you've got a non-AC related fanfic, please write it in a PT & advertise it in your signature & profile.

Would it be OK to have someone proposing?

I'm not sure DairyMilkChoc, I'm pretty sure you can't but wait for the mods on that one.

I know there's a no romance rule, but could I go as far as saying stuff like "They looked at each other bewildering. Pepper could sense a connection between them. It felt strong." etc etc etc, but not go as far as any gooey, romantic stuff? Is that aloud?

The best thing you can do for your fan fic that your want to post on ACC is to steer clear of any romantic gestures or story line. if that is what you want your story to be about, you should probably reconsider posting it on ACC. That is my advice to those asking about love stories and dating included in their fan fics.

Is it OK if I use this,

"My father went from ignoring me to abusing me. He beat me every other night, and if I was good; if I didn't make a noise all night, I could escape with only a minor nosebleed."

In the story, the protagonist's father is supposed to be abusive and cruel. I won't describe his beatings in detail, but I need to emphasize on how cruel he is.

It's just my opinion, smartgirl, but I don't think that is a topic / story line that should be shared here.

Content is important when it comes to certain key words, ACFan5. But yes. I'd say that context is fine and shouldn't cause you any problem.

In my opinion? It's probably best not to even go there, DairyMilkChoc. Proposals are usually followed up by things that are not permitted in ACC fan fics. So I'd probably skip it all together. But, that is just one person's opinion.

You just did. And yes, I don't see why not. It's a common enough phrase and most would know you're not referencing the Devil persae... unless, of course, you are... In either case, I think it would be fine.

Umm... Just a random question, but if I'm going to be making a fan-fic about ACC, does it have to have Animal Crossing characters in it, or would I be fine just posting about an ACC story with ACC members? An ACC story would be bland without animals anyways, but yeah...

There should be at least one significant reference to Animal Crossing in each chapter.
