Banner Contest

Welcome to ACC's Banner Contest. This time, you will be designing a banner much like the one on the homepage. Feel free to make the banner however you see fit, but keep in mind it needs to go with the site. You may use the grasses that ACC uses on the banners. Feel free make the banner for any season or holiday you wish. You will have only one post on the submission thread so don't waste it. Take your time and only post when you are happy with your entry. If you have any questions, please ask on the Q and A thread

Guidelines
1. Don't steal the work of others.
2. It would be nice if your entry contained all three elements, but only the first one is absolutely necessary:

• The main graphical portion, such as this. This must be between 400 and 600 pixels wide, AND between 160 and 170 pixels tall. Elements should include characters, a sky, and a ground, but do not include any text. We will add in the text at a later date, and we do not want the text to be the one thing that's keeping a great banner from being done. Please leave space so the text can be added in. Refer to ACC's current banner for an idea of how much space to leave.


• b. A repeatable grass portion with nothing else on it, such as this. For more grasses, see the bottom of this announcement. This grass must match the height of the grass on the main portion, and should have the capability to be repeated (See what the current banner does when you resize your window?) seamlessly. The grass should be around 40 pixels tall, or about a fourth of the total height.


• c. A "sky" portion that is at least 70 pixels wide like this, and can be repeated seamlessly like the grass portion.

3. You only get one entry, post it when you feel its the best you can do.
4. Even if you win, this doesn't necessarily mean your banner will be used, we will have to test it and vote between ourselves.
5. Have fun! We want to see some creativity here.

Contest Timeline
Contest start/Submissions open: November 1st
Submissions close: November 14th, 11:59 pm ACC time
SIC and Staff selection for Top 10: November 15th - 21st
Public voting opens: November 22nd
Winner announced: November 29th

ACC's Grasses:
Don't be afraid to shave a couple pixels off the top or bottom if you need to!
