A few of my friends do, not many of them. I wouldn't really mention it unless I was asked. My brother knows that I'm always on ACC and that I'm a Scout. He is quite sarcastic about it actually, I don't think he really appreciates ACC.

They know that I go on ACC, but they definitely don't know that I have a staff position here. I think they think it's just a cheat website where you can make patterns and look at guides.

"My family knows that I've been spending the last three years on ACC, and they know, to a degree, that I'm a Scout, but that's it. As long as I get good grades, they don't bother to get too involved with ACC stuff. "

"My parents know, and my boyfriend knows, although he doesn't like that I spend so much time on ACC and not with him. "

A few of my friends know about ACC, and became members- after lots of nagging on my part! But I think one got banned, one comes on only when she has no other means of contacting me, and the other who only comes online when I bug her to.

I mentioned that I was a Scout to one of my friends, who's one of the aformentioned members on here, and she thought it was cool. My parents know about it too, and occasionally ask me how's it going with the Scout work and stuff. It's nice.

My online life and my personal life hardly ever mix, since most people from one could care less about the other. I have mentioned being staff on a website from time to time with my family, but they don't seem to care and think it's unimportant.
Not much I can say here. Barely anyone I know in real life even knows ACC exists (as far as I know anyway).

I think most of the time I've mentioned ACC to people I know IRL, it's to say that I post a fanfic there. Sometimes, I mention that I'm a scout, and they have no idea what that means, so instead, I now just say that I help people on the site. ^^;

Oh yes, most of my friends and my family are aware of my ACC addiction. I would go on vacation and if I can wifi, I definitely will be checking ACC. My husband even bought me AC key chains and toys when we find them on vacation.

My Mom is the only one that really knows of my addiction or position.
I've mentioned ACC and/or Wifing with friends to a couple of the sound guys at church (co-workers) but neither one has any idea what I'm talking about.

Yup. My family knows that I'm on a website and that I'm a moderator. My mom doesn't really understand what that means but my sisters do. If I say "ACC" most of them don't know what that means. But if I say, "the Animal Crossing site" then they have an idea since they know of the Animal Crossing game. When I showed the game to my nana she just loved the clip-clop sound of the characters feet as they walk

This is going to be short. Aside from the game (which only family and a couple of friends knew about) NO one absolutely knows about my ACC addiction. My family and friends I had convinced to join think I have given it up a year ago or so.

Only one of my friends knows how dedicated I am to this site- the rest don't know. My mom vaguely knows what the site is. She's never been on it, but she knows I'm on it all the time. My sister used to be a member about 2 years ago, but stopped coming on.

Does your parents/mate know about your account on here and do they know about your position? My girlfriend knew of my SM positions (she is a fan of AC too, and I told her of ACC and what I do, and told my sister of that, which got to my parents, but I never really speak of it.

I've recently told my family about me being part of the ACC staff, because they were getting really freaked out that I was talking to paedophiles and would run off and meet a guy who would in turn kidnap me because I was angry with them.
Luckily, my family are supportive, even if I do get some occasional teasing. I just remind them about their farmville addiction which quickly quietens them down.

funny, I thought I had answered this one ages ago, but I guess it must have been a similar question somewhere else?

Yes, most people I know well know at least something of it. My sister and my best friend, for example, have known about it for ages and ages. They don't completely understand what the site's about, but they know that I am a fan of a fun little videogame (which they have both seen, but not played), and that I have friends on an online forum that I hang out on whose subject is that videogame.
I've also mentioned it in passing to other friends & family, especially when I've mentioned meeting other people from ACC in real life. My one aunt in particular was very interested to learn all about website moderation, as she was happy to find out there were people out there keeping an eye on teenagers like her son to prevent them from getting in trouble.

Yes, my husband's actually the one who found ACC for me back when I was looking for a Nookington's. He had an account on here a million and one years ago, and used to play AC with me on both GC and WW, so he knows what its all about. He's also a software engineer with plenty of understanding of & participation in online forums himself. He was psyched when I got invited to be a Moderator (as well as fully understanding what a Moderator is). And I often talk to him about stuff here, he kind of thinks of the Moderating (and before that when I did Giveaway stuff) as my part-time "job".
