PROLOGUE
Crimson was born on a far-off tropical island.
She was named for her deep brown fur, which was so dark it was almost crimson-red.

Portia and Marcel were very proud of their new puppy.

"Kapp'n's coming to get island items later." Portia said.

"Umm-hmm," said Marcel.

"We can show him the baby," Portia said.



Kapp'n was nearly back to the shore, when he heard a soft whimpering.
"Why, Crimson!" he exclaimed.

Crimson had gotten tangled in the blankets from the island that Kapp'n was going to sell.

"Well, we can't turn back now... we'll just have to wait until I go back, then drop you off."

Crimson stayed with Kapp'n,  and spoke her first word: "Crimson."

One day, however, Crimson escaped... nobody knows how, all we know is that she escaped.

Thus began Crimson's adventure, how she lived with more families than she could count, and, overall, her goal to live with her parents again.

Chapter one
Nook's newest servant
From what I hear, I showed up outside of their doorstep, saying "Crimson" over and over.

By "they" I mean the last family I can remember- my third, at least.

They were very kind to me. I loved living with them.

My mother, that is, who I THOUGHT was my mother, (I'll call her WITWMM) tried to tell me that I wasn't their real daughter.

But I was only five. I couldn't understand.

I remember that day so clearly, it feels like it was yesterday.

"Crimson!" called WITWMM. "Come in!"

I did something that would change my life forever, even though it was normal.

I obeyed her.

I ran in, and began eating my lunch.

"There's a limousine out there," I said.

WITWMM looked out the window.

"Hmm," she said. "There are two police cars, too."

Suddenly we heard a banging on the door.

"Who is it?" called WITWMM.

"TOM NOOK! WHO ELSE!" replied a sharp voice outside the door.

WITWMM opened the door quickly when she heard the name.

Two brown and white dogs dressed in police uniforms marched in, followed by a chubby racoon in a suit.

"We want the girl." said the racoon.

"WHY?!?" said WITWMM.

"To be his servant, miss," said the taller of the two dogs.

"Yes- I mean- W-what!" said the other.

"Why her?" asked WITWMM.

"Because she obeyed you you so quickly!" said the racoon, rubbing his paws togather.

He grabbed me by the scruff of my neck. I whimpered a bit.

He tightened his grip, than began dragging me out the door.

"Stop!" yelled WITWMM. "Let go of her!"

"Come along!" he said, dragging me closer to the ground.

Then he THREW me into the limo, where I waited, wondering what would happen next.

Offtopic-when i told him i didnt want to work for him he said "YOU WILL WORK !! im mean i think you should"

jettette- I know! once I toke of my uniform and he got really mad! quinton- Ugh... I thought so. I save it, click the link thing... nothing shows. I thought maybe it was just my computer. It was just a little trophy-thingy.

Chapter two
Rosepetal Baths
Nook made us wake up at 5:00 am, while, on the other hand, HE slept until 11:00 am.

We hurried as fast as we could, to prepare his breakfast.

We carfully carried in platters of toast, eggs that were boiled, scambled, and fried, bacon, pancakes, and pitchers of cold orange juice.

And that was just breakfast.

After that he went to his store, Nookingtons, and worked until he had a lunch break at 3:00. (Prety late, right?)

We then carried in platters of turkey and a lot of stange foods.

Then he went back to work, and returned at 9:00 to eat dinner.

Dinner was a feast, and I can't list it all in one chapter. No wonder he was so chubby!

Then came the most stressfull time of te day: bathing him.

You see, Nook would get mad if his baths didn't have rose petals in them. And LOTS of bubbles.

Then he had us dry him with a soft, fluffy towel, and put him to sleep in his huge bed.

We were then allowed to eat our meal for the day: bread. Only a slice.

I couldn't take this anymore. after one year of working for him, I knew I had to escape.

dumb oll nook!!!

LEMME AT HIM!!!!!!!!!

*Changes title*

I am SO gonna get you Nook! *starts  chainsaw......*

He's such a meanie! Poor Crimson!

Nook...it is time...

It is time Nook.... *destroys his store with chainsaw*

Chapter three
Escape!
I slipped out, while Nook was at Nookington's.

I ran and ran, until I felt safe.

Then I toke a break, and drank some water by a stream.

I sighed.

Maybe I sould have stayed with Nook- now I didn't know where I was, where I was from, or where I was going.

No, I had to be better of now. I hoped I was.

I walked by all sorts of places. I wondered what this town was.

You see, I had been running so fast, I coudn't read anything.

I didn't have any belongings- besides the shirt on my back. (Which, by the way, was a Nook's Cranny uniform.)

I was  begining to feel hungry.

Oh, I thought. I missed today's bread,

I saw a tree, with ripe, red, apples.

I started to shake the tree, when suddenly I heard:

"HALT!"

I looked up, to see none other then- Copper.

Yes, the Copper who toke me away frome "Home."

"This is a NATURE CONSERVATION area! You shouldn't even be standing there!"

I lay on the ground, silently nodding.

"I've seen you before, haven't I?" Copper said. "What's your name?"

"Crimson," I responded.

"Oh, yes!" he said. "You can come to my house tonight, when Booker takes my shift."

Happily, I bounded up, and followed him.

"Wait here!" he said. "I'm still in the middle of my shift!"

I sat down again, and waited.

Sweet! Ohhh.... you NOOK! *ties him up with ropes and takes to police station*

Chapter four
Copper's house
It was almost dark out when Copper returned.

"Come on, Crimson." he said.

I hopped up, and followed him.

We reached a small cottage.

"Here we are!" Copper said.

I looked around and noticed that all the houses were small cottages. Copper's looked big next to some. I guess I was just used to the "Nook Estate."

When I walked in, I saw a small cream dog next to a pink and white one.

I felt nervous.

"This is my wife, Cookie, and my daughter, Serena." Copper said.

"Daddy!" said the cream dog, who I took was Serena.

"This is Crimson." said Copper.

"Her spots are very pretty. Were you named for them? They are crimson." said Cookie.

"I- I don't know." I said.

"You don't know?" asked Cookie. "Where are your parents? Why don't you ask them?"

"I don't know where my parents are." I said.

"Oh, dear! Are you hungry?" Cookie asked.

"Yes!" I said. For a moment, I forgot how hungry I was.

We ate a tasty dinner, and I told them how horrible Nook was.

Then I went to sleep. I slept with Serena.

"I hope you don't mind." said Cookie. "But we don't have any other beds!"

I didn't mind at all.

When I woke up, I was shocked to hear Serena say:

"Hurry up, Crimson! We'll be late for school!"

*jumps up and down*

SCHOOL! SCHOOL! SCHOOL!!!
