Skillet is my all-time favorite band. I've been a fan for almost two years now. A very dedicated fan, at that.

Opinions on Awake?

Skillet = amazing.  My favorite band too.  I plan to see them in concert later this year. ^_^

I LOVE Awake.  Especially Awake and Alive.  Comatose is still my favorite, though.  Not a huge fan of Collide, but it's okay.

I like Collide as probably my second favorite album, at a tough tie with Invincible. Comatose is my favorite, and I can't say about Awake since it's so new.
I think my least favorite is probably, "Hey You, I Love Your Soul". But I do like Take a lot. xP

Have you been to a concert of theirs before? I saw them in May, when they toured with Disciple and Decyfer Down. Pretty rad stuff.

I've never been to a concert of theirs although I've been wanting to for a long while now since my parents wouldn't let me.  But now they've said maybe, so yeah.   Hopefully I'll be able to go. /not a panhead yet

Yeah, surely you'd love it. They are really amazing in concert; even better than on the CDs, in my opinion.

But, the Comatose Comes Alive DVD/CD is really awesome if you can't go to a concert.

Ah, really?  From the live videos I've seen on Youtube it seems that there's a lot of cheering going on from the crowd.  Does it make it hard to hear them at all?

Well, there is some cheering going on, but the attention is still turned on the band. It's pretty cool, really just something you have to experience for yourself, you know?
I went to the concert in Mequon, Wisconsin, which wasn't really that crowded. The people up really close to the stage were jumping up and down and cheering and singing along and everything, but I could still hear the music really well; it was really loud. xD The problem with live videos taken from people in the crowd is that most normal video cameras don't produce that great of sound quality, especially when the person right next to you is jumping up and down and screaming.

XD  And yeah, probably the video cameras do ruin the sound quality.   Are you allowed to tape?

As far as I know, yes.

I don't really understand why so many people think John's voice is weird. xD It's just... unique. I don't even know how to describe it correctly, though. One site called his vocals, "gravelly." xD

I've only heard a few of their songs, so I can't really call myself a fan. But I've liked what I heard. ^_^

I love Skillet!  I love them like a Panhead does, but I haven't done odd stuff though.  Next time I go I'm bringing a frying pan.

I love Skillet, You don't find many bands like Skillet. I love Savior, even though the song genre is Christian. (I don't practice any religion. I don't believe in god.)

Uh the songs I've heard were, "Whispers in The Dark", "Falling Inside The Black", and apparently it's one of their newer songs, "Monster."

Yeah, the first two were from their 2006 album, Comatose, and Moster is from their newest, Awake, which was released on August 25th.
