ACWWlover- THAT WAS MINE I SENT!!! I saw a letter saying that in a game guide so I sent it hoping I would get apples, and I got some eventurally.

About the onion one... that's a completely real remedy ^_^ Having a piece of onion up your nose (or just sniffing it really close I guess) helps clear up your nose Might make your eyes water too though!
