Way back in March, 2007, I remember joining the site because I wanted to WiFi with people. I remember seeing a giveaway and thinking "This is so stupid, why would people waste their time working, for free, in a giveaway?". And then a week later I joined IMG, and then JUG. Left IMG once it closed, worked with JUG, became a Scout, joined TONG, JUG closed.
Of course, that's basically my life on ACC. Lots of stuff have happened between them. And I didn't create my first BT until October, 2008. I've stayed this far on ACC because it's fun to work with people in the Giveaways, and to help on the staff.

Definitely wild world. I used to wifi everyday, and it was my main reason for ACC, to find gamers to connect with. Awesome times for sure, I still do wifi a lot today, just on city folk instead.

I have two specific memories from my earliest time on ACC. The first is as a super-n00b, I entered a pattern contest and I was all nervous about it and thought it would be a big deal, and spent ALL this time making my pattern to be entered, but then later on I realized how humongous this site was, and that there were actually like a million little pattern contests and other threads like that, and it wasn't any big deal at all. I don't even think the girl who's contest it was ever even followed through and gave out any sort of reward.
My other is of asking to be a part of AC Radio, which was basically an RPG chat pretending to be a radio station (before I understood that stuff like that was totally not belonging on the public boards ) I succeeded at my interview and became one of the main "DJs" for that "station" and had tons of fun for the week or so that it lasted. I met some of my first real ACC buddies doing that, and am still buddies with some of those folks. It was the first time I felt like I really fit in with and was part of the ACC community.

My first memory was before I joined, actually. I was looking for patterns, and found some sites like AXA and ACC. I used AXA because it didn't require you to log in. After a while, I broke down and joined ACC... then let my account stay dormant for four months.

My first memory was going on to look for things to enhance my AC:GC experience. I joined in 05, right before AC:WW came out. Also, I remember looking around and making a few friends to talk to within the first few weeks.

I joined because I wanted a place to find people to wifi with in WW. Kareth was my scout. After a week or so I found the "jobs" and got hired as a Landscaper at Z & F's Landscaping. I did that for a week or so before I applied at JUG as a pattern designer. I got turned down. And applied again as an Interior Designer. This time I got hired.

Gosh, it was such a long time ago I don't remember much of any of my early time on the site
I do know that I orginally joined because I had been playing ACGC for almost a year and I still wasn't able to get anywhere close to completing my catalog even with having two towns. So I was looking for a way to trade items with other people and happened upon ACC. I think I had some early success in trading items and just thought the trading post for GC items was amazing. I soon discovered the giveaways where you could get people to give you the items and want nothing in return. Sweet! And in large volumes for the most part. Double sweet! I spent my first few months requesting from giveaways before actually deciding to give back by joining one, which was Johntown327's Unlimited Giveaway.

That's easy: e-cards!! My friend sent me an email with a link to the site and told me people were trading e-cards here. I made an account, got what I needed and didn't really come back for a month or so. Then I found JUG and it was all over, lol!

Wow, it has been a long 4 years and my best memory is trading with some of the most generous members of ACC. Because of them I fell in love with giveaways and now find working in giveaways (and being a scout) the best way of giving back what I love most about ACC.

My earliest memory is of my scout The Crossing Raven. Whilst I never actually spoke to her because I found ACC rather easy to get started, I thought it was a cool idea that ACC had scouts.
Another early memory I have was joining IMG as an updater early last year.

Hey, lookie, I get to answer my own question! Anyway, I remember sending out several PTs; one to pedro_collins; he had welcomed me on my welcome thread I think, and he helped me alot. (I did have a Scout, Scotch, but I was confused and didn't want to be adopted. The PT was called accidental adoption I think. ) Also I sent one to someone who was also called Grace, and someone who had that copy and paste thing in their profile "olny samrt poelpe can raed tihs".

I remember that too! I remember getting hired and being part of that as well for a few weeks until it finally closed down. Other early memories included being a GC distributor for Dalek's giveaway for several months, starting a hybrid shop with a few friends that lasted for a couple of months, and of course WiFing with a ton of people. I joined ACC when ACWW was in its prime. I met a bunch of people over WiFi and made a ton of new friends that way. Back then, there really wasn't that threat of hacking, seeding, or bricking people, and everything seemed a lot more carefree, as I can recall. Most of my friends from that era in time are long gone from ACC, but that mid-2006 to early 2007 time period of my beginnings here on ACC will always have a place in my heart.
