Having trouble trying to get those presents down? Want to know when to time it exactly right so you know when to bring your slingshot up and shoot down a present? Then you've come to the right place! Using this guide, you will never miss a present floating through the air. In fact, you will be able to predict a present most of the time, and get all the delicious (though not edible ) gifts that fly through your town.

• How it works: Presents appear on any minute 4. Meaning xx:x4 is the time they will appear. It could be at 3:24 or 6:34, but they always appear on a 4. It doesn't matter what any of the numbers are, if the last number is a 4 there is a good chance a present will float by your town somewhere. This can be any time of day or night. They appear in all kinds of weather, whether it be snow, hail, rain, or even just a nice sunny day.

• How long you have: The balloon present will appear on your screen above the buildings and trees, you may slightly see it depending on where you are standing (If its in the foreground), you must get underneath the shadow and whip out the slingshot and press "A" to shoot. If your bullet hits the balloon, the present will drop. Take note that if you are in the bottom half of the town, you may not even see the ballot, make sure to listen for the "swish" sound, like wind blowing. Once it crosses over a cliff barrier on the ends of the town, the present is lost.

• Scenario: Current time is 2:14 (doesn't matter if it's AM or PM), and a present has appeared on the right side of town. It will float across town very slowly. By 2:17 it has reached the middle of town. By 2:20 it has reached the left side of the town's wall and will disappear. If you have not caught it, it's gone. If you go in a building, it's gone. Now you will have to wait for another present. The next one could appear at 2:24, 2:34, or even not until 2:54. Note: This scenario has always been consistent for me, although the times may vary.

• How many you can get: I have found that there is at least 1 present per hour and so far up to 4. There is a possibility for up to 6 presents in an hour but I have only seen 4 at most. I used this strategy to get 9 presents and a gold slingshot in just over 2 hours. Generally they appear 20 minutes apart, but can be as little as 10 or as long as 40. Note: I've never had a present take longer than that, although it might be possible.

• Location: I cannot predict where they will appear or which side of town or which direction they will go. That is completely random. I have seen a present float left to right once then right to left 3 times. You never know where it will appear, but you will know when and that's what's important.

In the case of not knowing the side it comes from, always wait at the center of town, unless your waterfall is too close. Then just go near the Town Gate. The colour of the balloon determines the colour of the present. Ex: Green balloon equals a green chair or jade econo chair.

This is a false rumor. The color of the balloon has no effect on the present.

ohh, ok. i kinda freaked when the pink balloon had a pear dresser in it...

i once got a lovely chair with a pink balloon... maybe it was just luck...

When does Pete fly around?

Pete flies by at 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. In my experience he will only come at one of those times daily. He also seems to alternate. In other words, if he came in the morning on Monday he would come in the evening on Tuesday. But I am not sure if that it is true.

It takes wayyy less then 6 and a half minutes! I had AR in today when i was on the left, I had a code that made me go REALLY FAST! I was at the top left, My slingshot was at the bottum right. and there was only 1 spot between the present and the town wall. So this proves your time theory wrong. Hope i helped,

How do you get the slingshot? I have Nookways, im pretty sure you have to get it from Nookingtons. Is that true? Because I think it will be a while until I get nookingtons cause none of my friends have ACWW and I don't have the online thing for WiFi.

You could even get it from nooks cranny... Just wait a day or two it'll be in the store.

Half of my town is full of patterns on the ground. Every time I shoot a present and it lands on the pattern, the present disappears. Idk why it keeps happening.

It's because you can't place items on patterns, like when you shake a tree near them the fruit vanishes. I recommend temporarily picking up the pattern, then shooting it down.

Just a couple days ago I shot a present down and it landed in the water, so I couldn't get it back lol...

i have this massive field of golden roses at the back, so loads of my present have dissappeared. about the golden slingshot, do u have to shoot down 15 presents in a row? or doesn't it matter if you miss one?
