If someone you don't really trust comes to your town and doesn't listen, runs all over the place, I would grab all my valuables that are outside,(Hybrids,etc.) and store them in my closet. And I would do it before inviting anyone.

This is a good guide. People really should try to act better online. I hate it when I have a rude visitor in my town to embaress me in front of everybody.

Thank you this is very helpful to a new comer who has limited experience with going to and from towns. if there are any CF players out there who would like to teach me some games i could host that would be very helpful.

also i have a question... depending on what season or holiday or event, do the rules change at all? like if you go to someone's town on halloween can they get furniture from jack, and if they can should you or should you assume that is off limits? thanks guys, just trying to get a sense of things.

You can get items from the special characters, because if they don't let you, they're being selfsh.

Speaking of manners, I think it's unfair that someone rated me down just because they had to go just before we were going to wi-fi..I got rated one star and we didn't even connect because of something that was their problem..

Its a really good guide, and its mostly common sense as well. I can't count the many times i had people using wii speak and i didn't even know due to being deaf and when i log back into ACC, they ask about why i  didn't respond or why i used the keyboard and not wii speak. Once i explained why, everyone was understandable. Something you should mention is other option besides Wii speak is the keyboard. Some people don't understand chat speak very well...so its best not to speak or type something that some people might not understand, that can lead to frustrations and you don't want that!

You aren't risking anything. There used to be a "steal from houses" hack but its inventor actually updated it so it only works outside of Wi-Fi.

Good ratings - 4-5 stars - people can come into my town.
Bad ratings - people wont come to my town.

I look at ratings & respect people's town. Follow their rules. Hopefully, follow MY rules too.

I'd emphasize the "s" in "ratings"; the average value should be ignored, it is always better to look at the individual ratings so that you can ignore the biased/joke/revenge ones.

Bravo! I myself don't have Wi-Fi, but I do have the ability to use the DS Suitcase for CF and DS to DS for WW, I belive this also applies to those too!

How about not asking personal information? That could be a biggie, like not asking another player's age! It could tense up the mood!
