| Posted: 7/28/2009 3:30pm Depends on where you get it. On my back it varied. It was a 6 hour tattoo, so sometimes I'd be numb, other times I'd feel EVERYTHING. The tips on my shoulders hurt most, as well as some of the shading. On my arm it was a quick one hour tattoo and it only hurt initially (I think initially, until you get used to it, it always does). | Posted: 7/28/2009 3:32pm The tattoo I just got [on my forearm] was honestly no worse than being lightly scratched by my cat. It's different for everybody, but I agree with AMB, the soreness the next day is more painful and annoying than the actual needle in my skin. It also depends on how much bone/flesh/muscle you've got where you want your tattoo. For example, like I said, my arm tattoo was pretty meh. A little stingy, but nothing unbearable. However, my first tattoo, on my ankle, parts of it were pretty much literally bone underneath my skin, and those hurt. Especially when the artist had to go back and actually color it in, because it was multiple needles going over the same spot over and over. But like I said, everyone's different. | Posted: 7/28/2009 10:10pm Well, I don't like tattoos. I love my skin nice and clean and clear. When I see someone that has a tattoo, I really just don't understand what they were thinking, because to me, it doesn't look good. I don't mean to offend anyone, for that's just my opinion.

| Posted: 7/29/2009 1:50am I happen to think Tattoos are just an extention of the way you express your originality. The way you do your makeup, hair or style your clothes, tattoos reflect the same. The only difference being that it is permanent, and a lot more thought should go into it than with a hairstyle for instance, as a hairstyle you can change, a tattoo not quite. In my case I am very artistic, and I loved the idea of being living art. I still do. I respect your opinon Shebakus but lucky for me not a lot of people share it. Rozbud your tattoo looks like it was very, very painful. It's beautiful that you were able to do that for your grandparents. | Posted: 8/8/2009 5:51am I don't have any tattoos yet but I am planning on a traditional full body japanese tattoo. I figured what I will do to both my arms and chest but I'm not too sure yet with my legs and back. Some of you may think that a full body tattoo would be rediculous but I love it and I want to be a piece of moving art Signature-------------- The Wii changed my LIFE!

| Posted: 8/9/2009 10:43am I'm thinking about getting one for many years. Thing is, what I want is some sort of animal or creature that represents me. It's a long story which i'm not going to bother explaining here. But here is my problem, back in the days that would have been a Wolf. Right now it's a Dragon. This is the reason I don't have a tattoo yet. My 'creature' might change over time. I'm so scared that once I get a tattoo I might change my main creature. Of course you can't just randomly change a tattoo whenever you want. But someday I really want to get something on my shoulder/arm that looks like this. Perhaps after I get a job and finish my education, I don't know if tattoos are permitted in my sector. Most in my country look down on people with tattoos sadly... | Posted: 8/9/2009 2:16pm Edited: 1 On tattoos I say to each their own. I personally wouldn't get one. can't think of one I would want . Some of the art is beautiful. Here is some info for you all about covering up your tats for work or what ever. The professional makeup artists use Kryolan Dermacolor Camouflage Cream. It is an opaque cream makeup made to cover tats, port wine stains, discolorations, spider veins and bruises. It's water proof when used with the water proof powder by the same name. comes in 50 skin colors. They have a mini palatte to try colors to match. The makeup is $26.00 an oz. a little goes a long way. powder is $21.00. You can buy on line at alconeco.com Signature-------------- The difference between a hero and a coward is the direction they run screaming. |

| Posted: 8/10/2009 7:21am I've never considered getting a tattoo - by law, I am too young anyway, but I know places that would happily give me one - and I'm undecided on them. I think my opinion on the tattoo largely depends on the person with it. For example, on work experience, there was a 23-y'old with a tribal-like tattoo on his arm, and it looked great. However, if I saw that tattoo on a large, balding middle-aged man, I wouldn't like it so much. I think part of the problem with tattoos is the stigma that goes with them. The majority of ones I've seen have been wonderful designs that suit the person with them, but there'll always be that stereotype - y'know, British holiday makers in Benidorm, tattoo-covered, chain-smoking, pot-bellied? Of course, I don't think of people like that, but sadly some do, so if I were to ever get a large tattoo, I'd have to think very carefully about how others perceive me and my expression of art. If I were to get one, I would probably only get a small something on my wrist that could easily be covered up. My best friend's brother has several large tattoos on his arms, and they've hindered him when it comes to finding a job. He's perfectly qualified, but first impressions matter a lot to employers, and you perhaps don't get the best first impression of someone if they have a large tattoo of a skull on their arm. | Posted: 8/10/2009 10:43am I'm not sure why, but I am really tempted to get a tattoo. I think getting a henna one first is a good idea. I know what I want, so I might try and get one done. | Posted: 8/11/2009 7:31pm I love tattoos, they're ridiculously addictive. I have 3 right now. I plan on getting a calf piece portrait of my brother who passed recently and also a full piece on my left fore arm. I want a lot more, but it costs a lot of money for good work. It won't be a while till I have everything I want. Signature-------------- I love my PandaBear <3 2.17.2008 Undead Mage FTW! |

| Posted: 8/16/2009 8:52pm I want to get an exclamation point and the Cheshire Cat's smile above "We're all mad here.". Location depends largely on what I end up doing with my life. If I ever become a rock star, I'll get one on each wrist, but if I end up being a drug and alcohol counselor or anything else along those lines, I'll get them on my shoulders |
