If you talk to Wisp that same night but you do not wish to receive anything yet, then I believe there is an option of saving it for later. But you must talk to him that night to receive this option.

Honey_Gal is right. I just remembered that I had recieved a magic lamp from a giveaway! That means as long as Wisp is inside the lamp, (which turns the empty lamp into a magic lamp) you can use it any time you want by going into your attic and rubbing it.

i've found his lamp and the same day i find his empty lamp i wait till 8:00pm then i go searching for him and hes nowhere to be found ive even played for 3 hours before looking for him also ive found his lamp 7 times but no luck please help private thread me if you have any solutions

I was reading this earlier thinking who the heck is Wisp (I'm sorta new to the game - I don't know everything about it yet) and as soon as I got on to play I found the lamp, walked around and 5 seconds later he appeared.

Honey_Gal is right, you have to talk to Wisp in order for the empty lamp to become a Magic Lamp. He's usually found along the beach, but I've also found him in the upper section of my town near the Town Hall, so you might want to stroll through town, you never know where he'll show up. I've found him right away, and I've had to comb my town for quite some time before he shows up. He's quite shy and afraid of ghosts. I believe to save it for later, you just put it away in your closet/drawers until you want to use it. I received one from a giveaway once, and that's how I figured out that's how it must work. When you want to use it, go to your attic and rub the Magic Lamp. Et voila! Wisp!

I have a problem,
Im not very experienced with wisp..
but I saw an empty lamp around 9am on a thursday (my game was TT'd) and so I didn't pick it up because I knew that it was wisp basically, so i chose to left it alone until the night.
I went to bed irl instead of TT'ing  to get to a later time on my animal crossing day and now its 1:30am..
So i was walking by my beach and came across wisp, moved closer, yadayadayada..
and then he told me to go find an empty lamp. I hadn't had it in my inventory at first so then i walked away to go grab it and he kind of disappeared.. I picked up the empty lamp and walked back to where i found him and he was gone.. what?

If you tell him to get rid of weeds, will your town be deweeded forever?

Lauren, I don't know why wisp didn't reappear, but I suggest that next time you find a lamp, pick it up and keep it in your pocket until you find him later. That way when you do find him, you'll already have the lamp.

Ah, I'm not sure. o: Do you think it belongs there? xD When I look back at the guide, it looks kinda meh.

Well I mean they do NOT have ANY type of thing for a Wisp AC:CF Guide, BUT they have Unofficial Markup Guides like these ones Moderators thread-locked as well as "Guides" on their Bio area.

Oh I see what you mean; yeah I agree with the fact that they should add some sort of guide to that section.

I have only found Wisp once in my nearly five weeks of play from my new town...and I randomly found a lamp on the ground in the morning sometime and I didn't know what it was so I just sold it. *MAJOR FACEPALM* Then, I found Wisp around dark and I couldn't really do anything since I sold it...darn.

When you find a lamp, if you time travel does wisp go away?

Hi, I met Wisp the ghost two days ago, he is very funny & adorable. He gave me some small shades... I found the lamp on the bridge by the beach, and he called me like two minutes later.

I just got the lamp and TT'd to 9pm tonight and I cant find him

I found the lamp and didnt know what it was and i sold it!!!!! Does it only come once on each map? or is it random?
