What's the error message?

it tells me to click 'yes' to finihs the download, i do, and nothing happens and so i don't know what to do!

where do you go to download(cant find the download link on anicro site)

I have the same question as Paper Mario Man, It doesn't seem capaple with macantosh!

I read back on the first and second page of this topic and found it wasn't Macintosh compatable!

Time for my rare stop in around these parts.    Wild World has been taking up much of my spare time in the last week, so I wondered how things were going at ACC.

Very belated thanks for the on-time birthday wishes!

As for when there will be a new version of the program... maybe soon, maybe never?  I really accomplished everything I initially wanted to do with the program and much more.  Wild World doesn't change much about the patterns, so there's not much work to do in that regard.  Unless someone were to rip another set of colors from the DS version.  Now that everyone is using the same screen there shouldn't be the sort of tint/brightness/whatever differences people could get from different TV settings or ways of capturing images from the GameCube version.  I've also considered adding in the single Mario Kart DS palette, since it's just another 32x32 image.

Right now, I am having trouble downloading it.

It's free.  I didn't make it harmful in any way, nor have I heard of it causing problems for people... well, except for the people who don't like seeing a lot of patterns created with it.

That is correct.  When you click Send to ACC it's supposed to use the default browser to send the pattern to your set at ACC if you're logged in.  If it's not doing that, it's hard to say why.

Yeah, it was something to do with default browsers, got it working again now, thanks Josh.

I got a message at another website when i tried to open the test file it looked this:

File Type: Unknown

Description: Windows does not recognize this file type.

The .acs files, you mean?  I didn't really make it so they could be used to open Anicro Desapro with them already loaded.  Here's how you use it, though.

Once you've got the .acs file (testfile.acs being the one I include), run Anicro Desapro.  On the main window, click the "Show ACS Form" button.  On the window that brings up, click the "Load ACS" button.  At that point it's like opening a file in any other program, so find the .acs file and open it.  Once it's loaded, on the left side of the ACS window you'll see the list of patterns that are stored in the file.  You can click on any to get a small preview, and then can hit the "Design View" button if you want to see it in a larger form or make modifications.

If you want to add your own image to an ACS file, in the Design View window double-click on the small version of the pattern at the bottom.  That will add it to the list on the ACS window as a name beginning with "temp" and followed by a few random numbers.  With the controls on the ACS window you can then rename it, or change its position on the list.


Since I've rarely explained it this well before, and made some of these functions less than obvious in the program (double-clicking on the little image as the only way was a pretty un-user-friendly thing to do), the .acs file type hasn't been used a lot.  But I intended it to be a good way to share many patterns at once.  It would be particularly good for a set of related patterns.  For instance, someone could make a set of patterns that are based on the 36 emoticons available here (minus the animation of course), and distribute it as a file of about 19 kilobytes.

i have 1 problem... whenever i use Anicro and press "Send To ACC" nothing happens... what do i do?

wenever i click on 1 of the color previews, it says "something isnt right with the file name, file itself, or clipboard data" then i click ok then it says "a form cant be moved or sized while minimized or maximized" wut do i do????? some1 HHHHEELLLPPP!!!!!!!

mcmets07: Not really anything you can do.  It's supposed to do so using a new/current window of the default browser, but if that's not happening *shrug*  Maybe a popup blocker is preventing it or something?

muffinman1212: The first message sounds like what happens if you try to do something like load a bad image file, or try to get an image from the clipboard if there's text in there... ignore that; it sounds like a mistake on my part that that message is displaying there since it's not applicable.  However, the second message is accurate.  Whenever you click on one of the previews, it resizes the Design View window and sets everything up according to the "Design View Options" in the main window.  If a window is minimized or maximized its size is static, though, so when the program tries to resize it, it kinda spazzes out.  Restart the program, and don't have the Design View window minimized or maximized when you're going to click on a new preview, and thing should be fine.

Unless it's doing that right from the start, which would be a bigger problem.
