You know what would be useful kind of along these lines is a guide for Gulliver.
I've yet to shoot down the guy cause he is always too fast.

Just a note for those who might not know -- if you have patterned roads in your town (or just lots of patterns), and your present drops on a patterned square with no open spaces around it (such as all patterns), you lose the present. Happened to me earlier.

I have patterns all over town and I shot down a present..it landed on the pattern right next to a cliff and seemed to disapear into the cliff

I got a flying present this morning and it was raining so u can get them in the rain.
Also I had to run home and get my sling shot and it was still around when I got back, so they don't nesessarily disappear when you enter a building.

I have been noticing that the animals in my town all seem to stare in one direction but haven't been able to confirm if this is because of a balloon or not. Anyone else noticing this?

Yes you can totally get rare items, it's the mario series. And they also come in the rain, I was walking around one day while it was raining and it happened to me!
