It's 8:49 PM on May 14th, and it's time for another entry into The Dopor Diaries.

Today's entry will be a two-parter, so expect another entry sometime soon within the next few days.
So I was strolling around my town at 1:30 AM the other night, just minding my own business and doing some fishing. While I was walking through the midnight rain,
I heard a voice calling out to me!

I wasn't sure what was going on, so I walked towards the voice. Out of nowhere, a ghost appeared! This was the
fabled Wisp that I've heard so much about! Actually, the last time I saw him was back in '04 or '05, in the cold dark days when I had a whole bunch of weeds. (Sort of like my town recently.

)
Well, the ol' chap
seemed to be en besoin de my help. (That's in need of my help, for those of you that don't speak French.) I listened to his story and got a little creeped out. There are
spirits roaming around my town willy-nilly!? When did this happen? I've never noticed them before. I guess they just run around from town to town or something. At any rate, I didn't
want them sticking around for too long. Who knows what they would start doing? I've seen
Casper! They can't trick me. I figured it was in the best interests of both Wisp and myself for me to go catch the spirits, so
the idea started to grow on me.
Then it got really creepy.
Wisp is apparently in servitude to some chap called the
The Great Controller. When I heard this, I started to get images of Master Hand in my head. That was enough to convince me that The Controller
meant business. How could I leave Wisp to the wolves...err, Great Controller, after listening to his story? Of course, some reward for
for my toils helped me decide as well. He had a point too; Wisp's manners had been
impeccable so far. Finally, with my Golden Net in hand, I set off to find these spirits.
I checked and tried to find a shortcut to catching these spirits by going after
the first one I saw. But I must have been
wrong in my
assumptions, as no matter how many times I swung my net, I couldn't catch Wisp. He must not be the spirit I was after.
I headed for the Wishing Well to see if Old Man Farley could give me some wisdom, and he did indeed
come through for me. He had the spirit waiting right at the Wishing Well! I carefully sneaked up to the spirit, and swung with all my might.
Success! My aim was true and my cause was just, earning me my first out of the five spirits.
Well, today's entry ends here. I'll have another one up soon, and we'll find out how The Wisp Saga ends. If you want to find Wisp for yourself, get some pop or other sugary treat because you'll need to stay up late to find him. Wisp will randomly appear in one of your acres from midnight until 4 AM if you want to talk to him. Just know that he doesn't show up every night.
Thanks for reading today's entry, I hope you all enjoyed it! Now get out there and play in your own town, your neighbors miss you!
