(1)Q: What is a spotlight product and when does one appear?
A: A spotlight product is a special item that will appear in Nook’s shop, he will post a message about it on the Message Board and he will let you know when you walk in the door. They are somewhat rare, and will only occur if you create another character (or have created a character sometime previously in the town). Although it is said they appear more commonly if you create another character. Others say the trick to getting them is to buy few or no items from Nook. Spotlight items can only be obtained this way or from Shooting Stars. (Shooting Stars will give out one random spotlight item (mailed), including the throne.)

(2)Q: What are shooting stars?
A:A shooting star is a comet like object which randomly at night will go past the top screen of your DS. What's it for? Well, when it goes by, press "A" to "Wish" on it. Your player should make a praying type gesture. The next morning, you will receive a letter from the star. With a spotlight item attached.
*NOTE* You cannot be holding any item in your hand while pressing "A" while a star is passing.

(3)Q: What is Tag Mode and how does it work?
A: Tag mode was a mode created to let you know when another DS was near, and so that you could send messages in a bottle back and forth. If there is a DS nearby (within 30 feet or so) your DS will show; it should show you a message that it was detected. Tag mode is also used to receive promo items from DS download stations. (You must release a note in a bottle before you can enter Tag Mode)

(4)Q: Why can’t I add/remove/move furniture in my attic?
A: Your attic, (which is where your bed is, the one you wake up from at the start screen) sometimes confused with your upstairs’ room, cannot be altered in any way other than changing the bed, which is addressed in the next question.

(5)Q: How do I change the bed in my attic?
A: Go up to the footer of your bed (the end of the bed.) and press the A Button. (Pressing the A Button on the side of the bed causes you to jump onto it.) If you do this correctly a message should come up saying “Want a different bed?”. You then choose “Switch!” and choose a bed from your inventory to change it to.

(6)Q: How do I get a tan/sunburn?
A: Play in sunlight during the second half of July or during August. If your character stays inside a lot, if you play at night, or if you play with an umbrella you will lose your tan. This will take awhile though, so a recommendation is to stand by the beach, plug your DS in the charger, and but do NOT close the lid.

(7)Q:How many bells/presents/bees are in my trees?
A: 16 bell trees, 2 present trees, and 4 bee trees. At least, those are the ideal figures, they may vary depending on how many non-fruit trees in your town. For some reason, leaving 22 non-fruit trees does not guarantee you will get all the bells, presents and bees.

(8)Q: Why is my default character saying someone else’s catchphrase?
A: Animals may be saying others catchphrases for the reason they may have picked it up from another animal if they had a conversation.

(9)Q: How do I grow a money tree?
A: To plant a money tree, use the Golden Shovel to plant an bury somewhere between 1,000 and 90,000 bells. if the tree grows, it may just sprout three bags of the amount of bells you planted. NOTE* Even if the tree grows to maturity, money is not guaranteed to grow; also note that once picked, the money will not grow back.

(10)Q: Why doesn’t Joan sell me any Red Turnips?
A: Joan only sells red turnips if it’s been more than a week since the last time you time traveled or if your DS and in-game clock differ by a significant amount of time. To fix this, resynchronize the times.

(11)Q: How do I get the Golden Tools?
A: Golden Rod: Catch all fish, Golden Net: Catch all bugs, Golden Shovel: Bury a shovel, Golden Axe: Trade Pascal a scallop, Golden Watering Can: Keep your town perfect for 16 days, Golden Sling: Shoot down 15 presents.

(12)Q: How do I get other fruit?
A: If you send your villagers mail they will sometimes send you foreign fruit in return., Some nice friends will also spare you some fruit as well. Remember that each town has its own native fruit: Apples, Peaches, Pears, Oranges, or Cherries. Coconut trees can also be grown (sometimes a coconut will wash up on shore), however they are not native to any town, and must be planted near the beach area.

(13)Q: How do I get the item in __________ ’s house?
A: Send the villager in question furniture through the mail, or give him the type of furniture he asks you for. He’ll eventually replace the furniture you give him with that in his house. (You’ll find his unwanted furniture in the Recycle Bin.)

(14)Q: How do I send bottled mail?
A: Simply buy some bottled mail from Nook’s Store and when you’ve finished writing your letter, walk down to your ocean and toss it in. You can send it to a specific person if both of you use Tag Mode and are close enough, or the mail will be sent out to random people next time you WiFi. (It is possible that your own mail will wash up on your shore.)

(15)Q: Do I still need to water my dying flowers when it is raining/snowing?
A: Nope! No flowers will die after a rainstorm.

(16)Q: When do special visitors come?
A: During any given week, Monday through Friday, when Tortimer or Cornimer are not scheduled to appear, the game will host one visit from Crazy Redd (scheduled by you), two days with visits from Wendell, Saharah, Pascal, Katrina, Gracie, Gulliver, or Shrunk, and two days of Katie/Kaitlin, Blanca, or Pete. Special visitors come at different times. It is possible for Blanca to appear after some special visitors leave, for example, Blanca could appear after 12AM when Wendell leaves town. Try talking with Booker to see if there’s any in your town that day.

(17)Q: How do I get villagers to stay/leave my town?
A: Villagers who are leaving will have every item packed away into various boxes, if you want them to leave, select the option that encourages leaving, such as "Farewell, etc." If you want them to stay, Select the option that encourages that. Do this until they give a hint in some way they are staying.

(18)Q: Some big plant popped into my town today, what is it?
A: This would be the Rafelsia, this plant pops up in your town if you have too many weeds. It cannot be plucked however so...The only way to remove all your weeds from one acre of town (if you have your acres marked off), and it should disappear within a few days. (Remember that an acre is 16 by 16 "spaces")

(19)Q: How do I make a snowman?
A: The key is to find a snowball, which will be used for the base, and make it as Big as it can get. For the head, make the snowball slightly smaller, to about your chin. If you did it right, good job! If not, just keep trying.

(20)Q: What are all of Tom Nooks expansions, and how much must I spend at his shop to obtain them?
A:
Nook n' Go - 25,000
NookWay - 90,000
Nookingtons 240,000

*Nookingtons contains Shampoodles, which can be used to change your hairstyle. You must have a character from another town buy from your Nooks in order to be eligible to get Nookingtons.

(21)Q: How do I get an opposite gender haircut?
A: After purchasing 16 haircuts, Harriet may offer you an "opposite-gender" haircut style "Pixie cut".

(22)Q: Why won't the coconut grow!?
A: Coconuts will only grow by the sea shore, remember, this means by the sand. It can be grown on the dirt above the sand, but not too far up. NOTE** If you do not know where to get a coconut, the beach will occasionally wash them up.

(23)Q: I donated bells to boondox, but didn’t get a feather! Why?
A: Donations run on exact amounts, so, if you donate 10,000 bells, that means it is added on to your total. So you would only need to donate 190,000 more bells to get the Blue Feather. Also, over-donating will cause you to miss receiving a feather. For example, donating 10,001 bells will not earn you the Green Feather.


(24)Q: What's king Tut's wig?
A: The king tut wig is a mask type item that has the image of an Egyptian pharaoh (The coffin image) It is golden, can be bought at The Able sisters for 12,000 bells, and Is "Cursed". By "Cursed" it means it will make you trip every once in awhile when wearing it.

(25)Q: How do I catch a bee?
A: Bees are found by shaking trees, a random tree may carry a nest. Now, the tip to catching a bee is to, First, run towards an open area, somewhere where you can see. Next, Pause the screen. The bees will be circle-ing your head frantically. Second, equip. your net, BUT, do not un-pause. Take a look at the top screen, try and look for a change in there pattern, your queue is to un-pause as SOON as you see they have gotten a little farther from your head. Press "A" immediately for the hopes on catching one. This isn't full proof, but is definitely one of the only ways on catching these things. If you get stung, just try again.

(26)How do I avoid bee stings?
A: Run indoors to the nearest building, as quickly as possible and the bees will disperse.

(27)What are rainbows?
A: Rainbows randomly appear during the hours of 1 to 3 PM after rain, thunderstorms, or even snow. You'll notice them gleaming on your top screen, Unfortunately, they serve no purpose other than looking pretty.

(28)What is a ninth slot?
A: The "Ninth slot" refers to a memory slot in the Animal Crossing Wild worlds data bank. When an animal resident moves out of your town it gets transferred to this "Ninth Slot". Now, what's it for you may be asking, well, here's how it works. When over wifi for example, you visit a friend town lets say. Now, visiting that town will give there game (Your friends) your ninth slot villager, and replace it to there ninth slot. Meaning, the next villager whom moves in to there town, will be that "Ninth slot villager". So, Essentially the ninth slot animal is the animal moving into your town next.

(29)Why do villagers in other towns have different looking houses?
A: In the game there is three sets of town types. Town type A, B, and C. In each town type, includes different grass shapes (Triangle, square, and circle) as well as how the villagers houses will look.

One type includes is a more duller color, one type includes a theme of blues purples and tans, the other is in between, and has a "Checkered" type pattern on villagers doors.

(30)How do I get a residents picture?
A: Pictures are given to you from an animal after you have befriended him/her enough to a point when the picture is given to you. Some tips on befriending an animal is to Wave to them(Tap on them from distance with the stylus), send them letters, Talk to them daily, aswell as complete tasks and general favors. Some animals, depending on there personality, may take a shorter, or longer time to receive a picture from.

(31)Will a villager give me another picture If I lost the first?
A: Unfortunately, No. There is one way to get a villagers picture more than once however, This is by creating another character and Starting the friendship process with that villager until he or she gives you that picture again using the other character.

(32)What are Hybrids?
A: Hybrids are 'special' flowers that are not able to be gotten via Tom Nooks, or any other item gathering center. (Garbage dump, lost and found, From a resident, etc.) To obtain a hybrid flower, you must place two of the same type of Flower next to each other. Either Diagonal or side to side. These flowers may 'breed' and at any random day, a hybrid flower will pop up next to the two breeding flowers.

(33)What is the process of obtaining the Golden Axe?
A: First-Purchase a red turnip from Joan whom appears every Sunday in your town.

Second-Feed the Red Turnip to Wendell the traveling walrus who will appear in your town randomly Monday through Friday. If you receive the Country guitar give it to K.K. Slider who appears in the Roost every Saturday night to either get his picture, or the "Turban", if you received the Turban, you can continue the process.

Third-Give the Turban to Sahara, she will either give you the Massage chair or the Red Vase. If you receive the Red Vase give it to Redd, the fox who appears Randomly Mon-Fri, selling items in his tent. He will then give you the 'Safe' in where you give to Tom Nook to receive Tom Nook's picture or the Massage Chair, if you received the massage chair, follow the next step.

Forth-Give the Massage Chair to Tortimer, The mayor that appears in front of the Town Hall every holiday, to receive the Scallop.

Fifth-Give the Scallop to Pascal, the Otter that Randomly appears by the beach Monday through Friday, to receive either Pascal's pic or The Golden Axe.
